hope its not too much to ask, but can u make it just a little bigger maybe, thanks mate. i cant really tell how big it is compared to everything else.

nice other ones up top too

Dunno if the game will make it bigger, I can try, dunno how game engine will react, just tell me which one u want, the weathered version, or the clean one.

No problem mate

It doesn't matter what size you make the image, SHIII's engine resizes it to a standard emblem size on the side of the sub.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong but I've been trying to post conning tower emblems using 'img' tags like this

but when I click 'preview' all I see is the code I've typed not the images. I was using my own webspace to host the images. Any advice will be gratefully received as always!

This is what to do if you want to post images

The picture in my sig is posted like that, and I also keep it on my own server, so it definitely should work for you too. Maybe the files are in improper format? That should not work for TGA, I suppose, so try to post JPG, PNG or whatever you can transform them. Also always add the 'http://' part in the address.

Thanks for your help with this. I hope you can see these images now-if not I'll try again.

I've been having a go at emblems and have come up with two that are now in use in

my two careers.

The first one's predictable!

http://www.circedesigns.co.uk/htdocs...oxy_emblem.jpg

The next one I created in PSP 9.0. I tried to make this one historically credible

but admit I was influenced by that Jules Verne film "20,000 Leagues Beneath the

Sea" where the monster squid tries to pull the Nautilus under.

http://www.circedesigns.co.uk/htdocs/Sims/Squid4.jpg

but it's causing problems because sometimes the background appears and sometimes

it doesn't, as can be seen by what follows. I've tried using the background eraser

in Paintshop Pro to set transparency and also black and grey as a background. The

file has been saved as a *.tga file OK. Has anyone else had this problem?

No sorry no images, will try again later. I've now corrected the code but this time it all gets stripped from message.

Foxendown 01-24-07 03:29 PM

At last they should now all be visible. This is all caused by my inability to type

That octopus is marvellous!

PS Looks a bit like a penis with fingers to say the truth, but doesn't an u-boot look a bit similar too? :)

You may be right....perhaps this choice of image reveals some Freudian subcurrent.

More likely though I liked the idea of a venegeful monster rising to the surface to get even for all that frozen kalamari.

I should have added that I didn't draw the squid-I'm nowhere near that good an artist-it was from some images my daughter had got together for a school science project. All credit to the artist, whoever he/she was.

Re: Placing Emplems

I have loaded a bunch of them.
When you say "IN Game List",are you talking about options?
Cant seem to find the option.
Excuse my slowness in figuring this out.

To make sure the background is transparent use GIMP or Photoshop and select the background as a separate layer, make sure you set the default background layer to transparent and cut the image background layer out of the image. You should then just have a transparaent BG image. Alternately cut the image you want into a new transparent image and then save as a TGA.

Abd_von_Mumit:Just wanted to say that the animal in that emblem ain't an octopus, it's a squid. Both are cephalopods and they're both pretty cool animals;)

/just had to correct that
//I've spent a bit of time studying other molluscs;)

Torplexed 01-28-07 11:35 AM

Some conning tower emblems I've drawn up past and present. Must confess I haven't taken this U-Boat War lark as seriously as I should sometimes. ;)
