After carefully reading files and loading mods, I succeeded at first strike from 1.3 to the following: Patch 1.4 over former 1.3 (after removed all mods only no reinstalling) TM1.7 ROW Object Rvs4 ROW Ships Rvs2 ROW Main load screen ROW sound effect VS5 final ROW sound effect add on Reflection on the water (isnt it redundant or older with other mods ?) Hamilton model 22 stage 1 Dragon Vargas Girls menu screen mod (he, he!!):up: Foobor's popoise Heavy with Hi-res V1.0 Foobor's Hi-res Gato weathered 2RTR US periscopev1.1 BALAO HI-Res USS balao skin ROW Hi-res sea foam ROW new clouds from Killer2 (too fast will replace by slower clouds) ROW sun reflection vs2 ROW sky and ocean control ROW textures with sun halo camera flair vs4 ROW classic zones special effects vs3 ROW textures VS2 RSRDC_P1-v104 TMARU-stock_gramophone (I run in 1920x1200 on a 24'') Captain midnight CBS news New-camera from decimu ROW camera mod VS 3 realistic (I like moving inside the sub and outside too) TM & RSRD Comapible DC shake mode (just added not yet tested) Everithing is absolutely perfect and amazingly beautiful, particularly my salmon sub and of course the water and environment spent dozen of minutes only watching waves and sub from outside! I even reused the in port save of my 1.3 campaign without anay pb.:lol::lol: Adding ROW over TM seems giving more beautiful waters ? not yet understood what mods of ROW are included in TM and don't need to be reinstalled over If you think somme mods are duplicating each other tell me please. I play in full reality except for the battery and fuel (in order to gain time rejoining patrol zone at full speed) with a realy nice FPS (NV7800GT) However I noticed a curiious pb I encountered a Musuki destroyer that sent me DC (exceptional noise! and the search light + flare lighting rocket are very nice in night) I had a bad flood with a cloison broken in the torpedo front compartment my guys had just finished to repair as suddenly everything got broken from everywhere and of course I sank. Not yet understood what happened as i made several savegame I will replay many time the sequence to check. pehaps an AI pb ?? Good night from France |
Well I am amazed that your game works without serious hitches, because you've got several mods conflicting there. Some initial thoughts:

The mods ROW and TM are so great, that I will wait patiently and play hapilly with T.M. 1.6.5. and ROW BETA (:oops: still on a campaign, can only play a few hours now and then). Please take your time. It is not a bad thing to "have something to look forward to" and your health and luck is much more important. Thanks Ducimus and Leovampire for all your efforts. What more can I say. Got to CRASH DIVE! Just spotted by a plane, dreaming away.:damn:

1. Deactivate appropriate ROW folder with JSGME 2. Go into Data/Misc of the deactivated ROW folder and there should be a file called 'undrewater disp map' or something like that. I think there are only about 4 files in that section of ROW so shoudn't be too hard to find. 3. Delete the file from the ROW folder 4. Reactivate the mod and the game should simply use the stock water displacement effects as there is no ROW file to access. Make sure you deactivate the mod first. I can't stress that enough. If you don't you could seriously mess that part of the game up and clean installs a are a pain!;) Also its a good idea to make a copy of the part of ROW you are changing, call it something slightly different, maybe add 'Withoutwaterdispmaps' on the end of the folder name. So if you mess up you don't have to DL ROW again or any messing about. Always back up stuff you are changing. BTW this is a change I've made too as I find the ROW disp maps a little distracting.:up: [EDIT: LOL! Sorry didn't notice it was you Werner! You know all that about backing up files already, hope I wasn't teaching you how to suck eggs there! Still its up for any noobs who want to change the water effects!] |
