Home Secretary Theresa May vows to make the battle against "abhorrent" modern slavery in Britain her personal priority.

"How dare these people make others work for no money and with no rights." She said. "That was our idea!"

Jimbuna 11-25-13 12:29 PM

The Home Secretary has said modern day slavery is all around us and "hidden in plain sight".

I'm sure she'll find it is now referred to as "minimum wage".

Which was bought in by Labour and if they got any sense they will get rid of it and give us a proper living working wage by law. Unlike in London Boris boasts about the living wage and hardly any employer in London has taken it up.

My wife brought home a Nick Clegg advent calendar.

You have to pay to open the doors and, when you do, they're empty.

Good news for Britain. Peoples incomes are increasing:up:
George Osborne is pleased to announce that overall wages have increased nationwide.
OK on the downside low earners have taken a drop, middle income earners are down £5k a year, but bankers bonuses ensured that the overall figure is positive:rotfl2:

Jimbuna 12-03-13 06:47 AM

I'm confident of one thing...my index linked pension won't be worth as much next year as it is now.

The chancellor also announced a cap on welfare spending would be set in 2014 and start in 2015. It will exclude the state pension and jobseeker's allowance.

Jim, he has already capped it..got a letter stating my benefit has been capped from 2013-2015 earlier this year. Just been on another wast of time course so I'm off the Nov unemployed figures.

I would like to strip him of his wealth and throw him in the gutter and see how long he will last. If the UK is doing so well why is the retirement age going up and up.

The Conservatives are known as the 'Blue Party'.

Which coincidentally is the same colour as our pensioners this winter.

Jimbuna 12-12-13 06:03 AM

Why did Nick Clegg cross the road?

Because he said he wouldn't.

STEED 12-12-13 06:29 AM

Christmas messages from…

David Cameron…Wishing all the rich a wonderful Christmas and don’t forget to keep warm this winter by throwing a homeless person on your log fire.

George Osbourne…Another great year of banking ripping the stupid people off and as for those silly fines we’re make that money bank next years scams. Talking of scams my housing ponzi scam is coming along nicely making pots of money for me.

Ian Ducan Smith…Next year all the unemployed will be shot along with those money grabbing pensioners so enjoy it while you can the clock is ticking.

And finally Nick Clegg…Happy Xmas one and all and I did it my wayyyyyyyy.
Nick already drunk on a bottle of fizzy water.

Bad news for Ed Millandband, had the radio on last night and in a leadership poll he slumped to the low 20% odd. The country dose not trust him as the next Prime Minister and Toff Boy also fell to the 30% odd on the grounds Toff Boy would bring in more cuts and screw the public sector down even more.

Ed stop farting around!...Time to show this country your up to being the next prime minister so prove it and get off your arse in 2014 the clock is ticking.:stare:

Jimbuna 12-15-13 07:24 AM

I'm not convinced Ed will ever be trusted with the top job by the electorate.

As it stands jim Ed is sitting on his arse and not doing a damn thing!..If he made the effort in 2014 and I mean big effort to show the country then maybe, granted he still may fail but I rather see him make the big effort.
