I will now make a new install with all ROW but use only Object Refl vs_2 and see what happens. (Interresting to see what really causes this glitch ;) ) Regards /Per |

to "Export activated mods list" click on this to create a text file of your activated mods then click ok to see them. Then you can just paste them as text rather than a big screen print. Gentlemen, the culprit is found and is awaiting interrogation! I suspected it was one of the guns.xxx files found in Data\Library\ShipParts, and I was right. The culprit is guns_radars.sim from ROW Objects v.4. I opened up that file and the one from RSRDC and found, to my astonishment, that a whole slew of information for DCRacks and KGuns is actually missing from the ROW Objects guns_radar.sim file! By replacing the ROW file with the RSRDC one, the anomaly stopped, and I got the living daylights DCed off my poor boat (for such testing purposes, I use a Titanium-hulled Balao with Mithril parts...no fleet boats or crew members were harmed during the process, but it was a jumpy ride!). Leo, check it out for yourself

Interesting find though - I guess I hadn't encountered this phenomenon since I installed RSRD after ROW, as swdw suggested in his RFB for ROW thread, so I wound up with the RSRD version of this guns_radars.sim file. It does make me wonder now that I think about it though - what am I missing from ROW by letting RSRD over-write this file? |

Whats the problem ???? What is RSRDC doing that causing you such a BIG problem |

patch
I hope the problem is found. Can someone make a patch for it? don't know how to edit a file with the sim extension. Do I need a special editor? OR is there going to be a patch? I hope there will be. At the moment I'll survive of course. :p Aniuk

Funny... my JSGME setup is at the top of page 88.
I have TM, RSRD, NSM, ROW in that order and no depth charge problems... I'm on my second patrol. :yep: EDIT: My mistake, must be the NSM that saved me. |

I'm also useing NSM and still had the problem until I reverted back to Objects vs2. I think it's the RSRD that saved you. If you look at the screenies that Dr. Beast presented, you will see that he uncovered the fact that ROW is missing some file info that is contained in the RSRDC. The way it looks, if you use ROW without RSRDC, such as myself, you miss certain files that cause the Depthcharge anomoly. As soon as I finish my current patrol, I plan on ending my current career and starting fresh with RFB for ROW, as well as RSRDC. |
Just a quick question here. The way it is now, NSM needs to be installed befor ROW, if we want the "zones" changes that ROW offers. So would this be correct?
1. Install NSM 2. Install ROW 3. Install RFB for ROW 4. Install RSRDC |

Also, check your PMs ;) |
Hiya's,
To clarify somewhat, I did a totally clean install after a manual reg cleanup etc SH4 with ROW creates the looping/cycling depth-charge doo dahh SO does SH4 + TM 1.65 + ROW And it is seems to be deffo caused by Objects Reflections v4 moreover the guns_radars.sim file as several guys have said Hope this info may help sort this bug (i assume bad i know, that other added mods fill in the errors in objects vs4 ? ) Have Fun Ciao Def |
