I'm surprised Bort hasn't been through here yet.

There goes the 1.33 qb rating. I haven't heard any sports radio today, so I don't know what the Grossman stock price is today. Up until yesterday, Grossman was the laughing-stock of NFL quarterbacks:dead: , bumping Joey"pianoman"Harrington out of the role.:damn: This is frustratin' me, cause I live to make fun of the pianoman.:dead: :damn:

Go Ravens...see you boys at the Super Bowl!

I translated this, and it said:  :dead: :damn:  :shifty: Something about heavy drinking before watching games and taping a piece of paper over the score on your TV. And something about how "the Chairman" (Mao) would have fixed the offensive problems.

Bort 12-12-06 11:16 PM

Rex Grossman-Proved me right in every respect, no turnovers, 200 yards passing and 2 TDs, completely poised in the pocket and as tenacious as ever. Just wait until he gets really into his stride and starts tossing bombs like he did earlier this season!

Devin Hester- Rookie of the year for sure and already making a case for best Kick Returner of modern times and possibly of all time. This guy is greased lightning on a bowling alley, good luck catching him!

If I had the cash, I'd be getting Super Bowl tickets for sure...

COME ON FALCONS :D :D :D

For the record, Rex Grossman ranks third in the NFL among all active quarterbacks.......................in interceptions thrown. Only Ben Roethlisberger and Jon Kitna have thrown more.

Again, Chicago wins due to defense. I expect this not to be enough in the playoffs, where points are going to be scored, even against Chicago. Grossman cannot bring them back.

Yes, it is this season. Did you believe that we were talking about last season, or perhaps 2002?

Rex Grossman is also tied with Marc Bulger for the most +100 QB rating games in the league (6) so twist your stats however you want, I still say he's an excellent quarterback who is on a roll that will last all the way to the Super Bowl. And I wouldn't bet against the Bears at Soldier Field in January, which looks to be the case throughout the playoffs. This isn't a flavor of the month club like the Cowboys, the Bears have been a force all year and I expect that to continue. Honestly Takeda, I don't know why you are so down on the Bears and Grossman, unless you wear one of these on the weekends...

Very well, I retract my statement and ammend: Rex Grossman is the greatest quarterback in the history of football; professional, collegiate and amateur. Also, Devin Hester is the greatest special teams player in the history of football; professional, collegiate and amateur.

History's new quarterback rankings:

1. Rex Grossman
2. Johnny Unitas
3. Len Dawson
4. Steve Young
5. Brett Farve
6. Joe Montana
7. Arnie Herber
8. Dan Marino
9. John Elway
10. Troy Aikman
11. Sid Luckman
12. Fran Tarkenton
13. Peyton Manning (being very conservative here)
14. Joe Namath
15. Geroge Blanda

Get used to it, people. Rex tremendae. Gloria in excelsis.

All order has been restored to the universe!:rotfl: :|\\

(from NFL.com"We made a good run at the end of the season, but you're also going to kick yourself for not playing that way all year long," quarterback Joey Harrington said.
Harrington had his worst outing in 10 starts -- and statistically the worst of his five-year NFL career -- since taking over for injured Daunte Culpepper.
In registering a career-low 0.0 passer rating, Harrington finished 5 of 17 for 20 yards passing and two interceptions before being benched in favor of Cleo Lemon early in the fourth quarter.
"Let's not pretend it was a huge shock," Harrington said of his benching. "I wasn't playing well."

0.0 rating :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: !!!!!!!
LOSER
I still can't believe this guy was in the heisman running. I wonder if this will make the local news?:88)

...and regarding "the list", everybody knows Terry Bradshaw is the greatest QB:88)

nikimcbee 12-17-06 07:40 PM

I'm ready for next year

HA HA HA... good one, Takeda.
Seriously now, I never said Rex was the greatest QB ever, I did say I thought he was the best in the league earlier in the season when he was playing like he deserved that title, but I no longer belive that to be true. But I certainly don't think that he is a godawful miserably terrible quarterback like you apparently do. I apologize if you are offended by my occasional shouts of joy for the sucess of the Bears, a team I have always been intensely loyal to through awful seasons and good ones, and for being optimistic about their young quarterback. I'm not sure if Rex Grossman ran over your dog with a steamroller and then backed over it for good measure or what, but I have never heard someone dog a player with such passion before, (except maybe nikimcbee with Harrington:rotfl:) especially one with an 12-2 record. :hmm:
