Consumed whilst watching the Liverpool game last night and yet another entrant into my all time top ten.

Pale amber in colour, Tribute is a moreishly drinkable beer with delicious full-bodied malt flavours and citrus aroma. Brewed using Cornish spring water, Cornish Gold and Maris Otter malts, with a blend of aromatic hops.

Drank the last of the eight I purchased earlier last night and whilst it eas enjoyable (what beer isn't) I wouldn't have it in my top ten.

Doom Bar is inspired by its namesake the treacherous sand bank at Rock on Cornwall's North Atlantic coast.
Accomplished and precise, Doom Bar is the epitome of consistency, balance and moreish appeal.
"An enticing aroma of resinous hop, sweet malt and delicate roasted notes. The mouth feel is a balanced complex blend of succulent dried fruit, lightly roasted malt and a subtle yet assertive bitterness. The finish is dry and refreshing."

Sabeco and Habeco are two of Việt Nam’s largest beer producers.

I'm slowly coming round to the realisation that the Badger Brewery ales are consistently near the top of my like list, so with that in mind and @ £6 for four bottles and knowing I had two championship play-off matches to watch (Fulham v Derby last night and Aston Vill v Middlesbrough tonight) I thought I'd treat myself with the selection below.

Two of each last night and the remaining two of each tonight.

Happy days

Jim, I understand the go to beer. For me it is RAR Brewing Cambridge MD. Every craft beer I have the enjoyment of from RAR is always fantastic. Last year a gun would need to be put to my head to drink a IPA. Now I absolutely love IPA. Call me crazy!

My second go to beer:

A deceptively drinkable golden ale. Finest English Flagon barley, Goldings and Challenger hops deliver balanced flavours of crisp malt and subtle hop, with a delicate pear drop aroma.

Jim, if you run Android on your phone or on your PC load up a program/app
https://untappd.com

Great app to track what you have had to drink. Lets you know where you can find a particular beer if you are looking for one. The beer in your post is listed. You will find just about every beer available around the globe listed for your tracking and rating. If not listed, you have the ability to add the beer. It is a fun app to have when drinking various beers.

This is not only a notable name for the beer. It's great beer!

Cheers Chris, I'll check that app out

PLINY THE ELDER WAS AN ADMIRAL

MY DAUHTER'S YOUNG MAN IS A CASKMASTER FOR RUSSIAN RIVER AND MAKES PLINY THE ELDER BEER https://static.vinepair.com/wp-conte...-internal2.jpgWHICH JUST LOST ITS TOP 100 OUT OF 100 RATING...A WONDER THEY'RE NOT USING IT AS A MARKETING PLOY ON THE BIG ISLAND: https://cdn.images.express.co.uk/img...701/365991.jpg...BUT THEN, TECHNICALLY, IT'S NOT A 'PLINIAN ERUPTION' AFTER ALL:shucks:

Pliny the Elder died in AD 79, while attempting the rescue, by ship, of a friend and his family, in Stabiae, from the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, which already had destroyed the cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum.. The wind caused by the sixth and largest pyroclastic surge of the volcano’s eruption did not allow his ship to leave port, and Pliny probably died during that event. HIS NEPHEW DESCRIBED THE VESUVIUS ERUPTION KNOWN AS A PLINIAN ERUPTION: AKA MT ST. I've got to say, Doombar is my favourite ale alongside Timothy Taylor's Landlord, which is very much like Doombar :)

Jimbuna 05-16-18 07:35 AM

Tonight we have a mixture cooling.

If anyone hasn't tried Amigos yet, you should, it is really quite refreshing.

I've noticed on recent evenings out with the family that cider is becoming increasingly popular with people and the make Kopparberg in particular, so I found these on offer at £6 for four and thought I'd give them a try tonight.

Moira likes Kopparberg

She also discovered Crabbies' alcoholic ginger beer recently... which is really nice, and she's since found another one called Church's (in ALDI) which is also 4% ABV... we've yet to try that but the thing is it's about 50p cheaper than the Crabbies'

Jimbuna 05-22-18 09:30 AM

Never tried the ginger beer but one of my favourite tipples is Crabbies (can't be Stones) Green Ginger with a nice Brandy.

Now you've got me thinking.....wife is at work and I'm home alone with only the hound for company.

Time for a quick shopping trip me thinks :03:
