the zoom factor on the gun view is not enough

CURRENT Surcouf : D/L Surcouf v 1.7.1 (new torpedo 3d models etc..) : http://www.mediafire.com/file/4d4v2n...uf%20v1.7.1.7z patch Surcouf v1.7.1 à v1.7.2 (new loadout torpedo pictures for the French Torpedoes 24v and 26v): http://www.mediafire.com/file/fca9a7z10oiz...20to%201.7.2.7z keltos |

Might make it easier to actually hit things at long range... You might try giving it a max zoom level of 32x for shots out to the guns' max range...or whatever range is the max that ships are rendered at...
|
I don't know that 32x would be very realistic...

on the other hand if someone were to make such a patch for the Surcouf v 1.7.4 I would be more than happy !!! the thing is if the mod is nearly done and ok for XMAS on Subsim ;) I won't really have the time to work on the patch in the next few days http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/3774/gunfight.jpg Gunfight ! :arrgh!: in this picture her two aft batteries just spat four shells at me ! the other two are two of mine heading her way ;) [edit] the log logged only 22 sunk ships when I sank an additionnal two battlehips and one aircraft carrier... results if a gunfight with 3 jap DDs... better suited against merchants ! gotta check those torp settings : though the 26v is set to 180° giro I had it run straight when leaving the tubes a few times .... maybe 135° is the max for straight running torps unlike the accoustic which is set to 180° ? keltos |
I never fight escorts with Surcouf. She's a splendid commerce raider but not as good of a warship. Too big of a target on the surface and too slow. DDs can close on her to "no miss" range very quickly.
I prefer to battle surface near unsuspecting merchantmen, gun them down and then vanish. You've been having torpedo troubles too? So have I since updating to 1.7.5. I thought it may have been just me. |

I'll try too on my end and report :salute: keltos |

this version works : the small torpedoes can aim 180 ° !! do not worry about the light being green or anything for those ones ! I had them fire at a ship in front of me ! |
I used the torpedo patch and everything works perfectly again.
Today while playing around with this boat. I somehow managed to slice a DD in two with the periscope. :rotfl2: |
