I was using his 5 meter analogy in my response and rounded to 15 feet to keep it simple. The point being that the depth appeared to be closer to 13 feet than 13 meters. As far as the thick skin: It seems there are a handful of folks that just scan a few lines of a post looking for flaws or imperfections just to slam somebody. Not to suggest that you would do this. As you have so gracefully pointed out, in the future I will be sure to post in the "proper" thread "units of depth measurement".

I'm with you, Payoff - truth be told, I was just giving you a hard time. I hope there are no hard feelings. I am in complete agreement BTW, that the units seem to be the problem. I think these subs would report depth under keel, (actual water depth minus draft of vessel) as opposed to actual water depth.
