Hah, I'm hoping that's one setting I'll be able to leave at only 'mildly realistic', even if I can account for the duff magnetic depth doohickies with my own knowledge of the problems they faced historically.

Amazing what you'll find with google image search. Keywords was "thread necro". Just be careful what you type if wife/kids are around or at work. Keyword "necro" by itself will have a nasty result.
