Doubt I'm going to be buying it unless it's very, very cheap.

Actually these are the Volkihar; the infamous ice vampires of Skyrim mentioned in Immortal Blood. I was kind of surprised that they did not appear in the stock game but I am happy about their appearance in Skyrim. I am happy to see that they are not abandoning lore.

They're still all blood-sucky, though? Doesn't do it for me at all. Besides, didn't they already do a vampire expansion for Morrowind, or am I thinking of werewolves?

Has there been any word on whether or not they plan to do a full sized expansion for the game, or is DLC all the way now? I guess these days there isn't a major amount of difference.

Not bothered at the moment either way. I just got the Wabberjack and I'm enjoying the strangeness of turning people into rabbits quite a bit.

Bloodmoon was a werewolf expansion. However, Morrowind did have vampire clans that you could join; something that was unfortunately absent in Oblivion, so I am happy to see it return. As for Dawnguard, it is reputed to be about the same size as Shivering Isles in terms of content. Given the size of every Bethesda DLC after SI (see F3 and New Vegas), I would say that this is a safe bet.

The team behind the Nehrim total conversion for Oblivion are doing a TC called Enderal for Skyrim.

Played a bit of Nehrim prior to Skyrim's release and loved it. :yeah:

Didn't you know? Heat therapy is the standard Skyrim cure for lingering pain due to arrows taken in the kneecapular regions.

Anyone downloaded Dawnguard on the Xbox today?

There are only one or two Subsim users who have 360s. I'm personally hoping we'll get some info when it will be released for everyone else in the near future.

Dead Money was delayed 30 days for the other systems and PC, so I suspect that this will be the same thing. Also, if it follows the New Vegas release dates, it will be the only exclusive DLC release, so we should not have to wait for the others. Hopefully.

Yep, it's going to be at least 30 days. Microsoft and Bethesda have a deal where XBox gets DLCs exclusive for 30 days before any other platform.

(Bethesda looks down on you from the pile of cash Microsoft paid them) "It doesn't look that way from up here!"

Well it turns out that Dawnguard is more bugged than any other past DLC release Bethesda has ever released. Congratulations BUGesda, you've nearly milked the cow dry with your piss poor bug quality control.

Takeda Shingen 06-27-12 06:04 PM

Honestly, if you are playing this sort of game on a console then you're doing it wrong. The bugs will be ironed out by the time it comes to PC. Mark me as not concerned. Bethesda has been awesome for a long, long time.

Not to mention consoles lack mods. That's half the fun right there, user created content.
