Obviouslty not a screenshot, just a pretty (if unrealistic) wallpaper that I found.

My first victory in a P51 using B&Z tactics.
Enemy approaching: http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/al...6464396638.jpg Let's zooooooooom: http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/al...3032326333.jpg On top of him: http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/al...6234386462.jpg Only light damage was done so here we go up again: http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/al...6131613432.jpg Got behind him and gave him what he deserved:;) http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/al...3638333031.jpg Up again, but he was so badly damaged that he tried to escape: http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/al...3132363062.jpg Closing in for the kill: http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/al...6366633864.jpg Flying straight and level is usually not a good idea: http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/al...3432343266.jpg Back home safe and sound. Another glorious victory by Schroeder against an outdated average AI.:D http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/al...3732643564.jpg So, now I need to practise that a little more and see how good that is against human opponents.:yep: |

One thing I especially love about it is cockpit visibility. I tried the same kind of method in a 190D9, and although it's doable it's much more difficult because the enemy disappears under the nose when diving. Your only option is to dive to his deep six and engage from there, while with the 51 you can go straight for the enemy and those nice deflection shots from above. The P-47 is quite similar, but not as good in climbs as the 51. Fighting like that you'll have no problem with the AI, but I don't have much experience against humans either. |

*EDIT* O.K. I think I misunderstood you. You mean being able to do descend deflective shooting. That works as well in the older ones (just tried it). Yeah, that's awful in all FW190. From what I hear this is because Oleg put the gunsight to low in the cockpits. In real life they were higher (as I said, from what I hear...). |
A couple of shots from our "Jet fun" evening:
Raptor's bunnyhopping Ta-183 http://staufa.sytes.net/files/IL2/20080811/grab0000.jpg Hunter checking how wide the Chinese gates really are... http://staufa.sytes.net/files/IL2/20080811/grab0001.jpg ... and then coming in for landing http://staufa.sytes.net/files/IL2/20080811/grab0002.jpg Looking good so far. He actually made it through without hitting the gates but nosed over at the end http://staufa.sytes.net/files/IL2/20080811/grab0003.jpg Someone ejecting from the Lerche http://staufa.sytes.net/files/IL2/20080811/grab0004.jpg A Lerche about to hit the ground, while a B-29 is diving vertically in the background http://staufa.sytes.net/files/IL2/20080811/grab0005.jpg |
