HUH!!U asked "what" not " what type"; moving the goalposts in the moment of glorious victory :hmph:is frowned upon....:O: but now that I've led Skidman to the promised land....:shucks:

Catfish 03-25-21 05:02 PM

Sorry, i did get something wrong or did you change your post? :hmmm:
I read "It is an airplane" and said Yes, and then you put in "Voisin" after i asked for the type?
But it is NOT a Voisin :O:

Hint: you can see a tiny iron cross at the upper side at the left, and it is not a captured plane either, but a german type.

It was a long time AGO. :03:

AGO Flugzeugwerke C.I-

https://tvd.im/uploads/posts/2020/04/ago-c-i_1.jpg I have learned to rely on the d@rk51d3 of the force:haha:

Catfish 03-26-21 02:33 AM

The force was with you, the AGO C.I from june 1915 it is  Nice photo :O:

AGO being the abbreviation for "Apparatebau GmbH Oschersleben", "Aerowerke Gustav Otto" and later "Aktiengesllschaft Gustav Otto", and then again renamed to "Gustav Otto Flugmaschinenwerke".

When they went bankrupt in 1916, it was merged with the "Rapp Motorenwerke" (Rapp had constructed the high altitude engine for the Fokker D.VII) to become the "Bayerische Flugzeugwerke AG (BFW), which again later became BMW.

Big hint is the second hull of the forked tail visible at the left, otherwise the undercarriage indeed hints to another pusher configuration like Voisin, Bréguet or Farman – but d@rk51d3 was not distracted and Aktungbby named the exact type!

No rodents were harmed this time, over to Aktungbby :salute:

I actually located it using "WWI pusher aircraft", then 'otto', which led to 'flugzeugwerke', then realized d@rk51d3's 'AGO' had been a serious hint...and not just Voisin' an opinion:O: I'll have something mysterious shortly.

SHORTLY: What, where, and what 'world record' is associated with this place? https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/pic...ictureid=11895

Catfish 03-26-21 12:07 PM

Part of a pipeline ?

Moonlight 03-26-21 12:46 PM

Was the record before the 1950s.

Eichhörnchen 03-26-21 01:33 PM

Is this in Germany?

Jimbuna 03-26-21 02:06 PM

Inchindown Oil Tanks,Highland, Scotland.

This abandoned oil depot produces world's longest echo in a manmade structure.

JIMBUNA TAKES IT! Shucks he's probably looked through
it :D I had seen a whole history channel thing on it two nights ago; especially how German bombers had destroyed above-ground tank #13, necessitating going underground in 1939...:hmmm:
so the whole thing was moved underground.
