:rotfl:Dont worry, they are refueled now, and on the the way to Wilhelmshaven. Unfortunately Bernard has set the course to Scapa Flow, and casually enters the port.

Why not? Get Wimpy
to Play the Files Downloaded from VideoDL.org.

(Read the Small text to the Bottom of VideoDL.org and Follow the Instructions, or it won't work.)

It's Simple and i use it since a long time.

I'll give it a try have never heard of this program before.

SubSerpent 09-06-06 09:04 PM

I prefer to stay with youtube.com with my current and future movie releases. It is a good site for folks with broadband connections (I'm sorry dial-up, but it's time to face the future) and doesn't require any risky downloaded files that may have potential viruses added to them. Youtube is just the safer bet for all involved IMHO.

Anything i like from Youtube.com i download anyway...
I'm a Downloader...;)

FYI, i think such Dial-Up Comments suck, cause if you WANT Broadband but can only Get Dail-Up, such Comments can drive you nuts. I know what i'm Talking about!

I now have 312kbps cause of technical DSL Problems. Still sucky, but hey - Better than Dail-Up.

Google Video Sucks, Download is no Alternative (Cause you can't Find Unlimited Hosting Places) so i'll Stick with youtube...:yep:

Terrapin/UBRS hosts SH3 videos, or you can use Filefront (1GB filesize limit, keeps files forever). I donīt like those low-res Youtube videos...

stabiz 09-07-06 04:12 AM

With time I will upload all my sh3-vids to filefront, but my connection sucks, so it will take some time.

stabiz 09-07-06 05:51 PM

My last SH3-vid for a while, the Silent Hunter 3 Megamix! :D Its a bunch of old and new footage, that I kept, for different reasons. Oh, and the music is a bit ... different.

Edit: something went wrong with the uploading, trying to fix it

kylania 09-08-06 04:28 AM

What a night of failures for me. I bought the registered version of Fraps and everytime I try to record with it SH3 dies horribly and nothing is recorded. Just total GPF crash of SH3.

Anyone know how to get SH3 + Fraps working?

stabiz 09-08-06 06:02 AM

Kylania, do you use the resolution fix? I always get ctd if I use that with fraps, even if I set it to 800x600. so its not a cpu/ram issue.

Anyway, here is the SH3 Megamix:

I did have the resolution fix on the install I was trying, so I renamed the DLL, and it STILL crashed. Tonite I'll try actually removing the DLL fix totally and see what happens.

The worrisome thing though is that it crashed EVE Online as well, which doesn't have any kind of DLL fix in place. Same sort of thing, as soon as I pressed the 'record video' button the game client just disappeared. It ended up locking up my machine mostly, I had to manually kill every process running just to reboot.

stabiz 09-08-06 09:14 AM

I had to reinstall SH3 to make it work.

I removed all three of the resolution files, d3d9.dll, the cfg file and the database compability file it'd created and it just recorded fine. Even worked in EVE, so I'm thinking that the first time I tried it the resolution fix screwed up FRAPS somehow, which is why it didn't work at all. Of course I never tried restarting FRAPS! :)

All seems good now though, so far.

Another Try

Hi Guys:
I tried making a movie of U-55's second patrol. It's better then my last movie, but I have a lot to learn yet. I get too excited while trying to capture something on film and my cursor gets in the way because I forget that I'm filming, Damn. Anyway, here they are in two parts.
U-55 Fights to Survive:
Part 1: Enemy from above
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIOEP4yQUKg
Part 2: The Enemy Strikes
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p34P_xxbz9o
I asked stabiz to view them earlier because I wanted his comments. He gave me some pointers.

However, I'm on my third patrol and there is lots of aircraft action again, and yep, I got my cursor in the way a couple times. It's too bad I get so excited and forget. I wish there was some way to edit the parts which have the cursor in it.

And I did it again stabiz, too much aircraft and not enough splits. I even forgot how to get the planes in the air, so you'll see my cursor pointing on the planes trying to get them to show on screen, stupid idiot, press the period button, oops oh yeah:rotfl: Anyway, thats in the third patrol coming up next week some time.

I hope you enjoy my second patrol movie. Don't be too critical, but constructive comments are welcome.
