Is there a relationship between Uboat the videogame, and Uboot the board Game? Seems like they have the same logo, music, and such?

Yes,

The designers of the board game were asked by the designers of the video game to develop a board game version of it.

The app for the board game was developed by a different studio than the video game though, AFAIK.

A bit of a learning curve to figure out the interface and inter relationships. Very impressed, completed 3 patrols, last one I sank a ship the admiralty wanted me to intercept. Love this game. Great graphics and options.

Silent Hunter 3 or Kursk (the game)
 

Hi guys. I'm wondering... is this new game more like Kursk (the scripted adventure game) or an updated Silent Hunter 3?

I won't elaborate beyond this. Those who have played SH3 and appreciated mods like GWX will know what I'm asking.
