Keeping the spray paint folks in business!

What do you call her?....Chameleon :)

A guy can experiment till he gets it right.

It appears UK laws are not that strict when it comes to body paint.
If one wants to repaint his car here, it would cost him about €100 for the state to change the registration.

Jimbuna 10-05-12 09:01 AM

In the UK you have to notify the DVLA and your vrhicle insurance provider. They may levy an administration charge to change the details on the documents/policy.

Betonov 10-05-12 10:25 AM

Here you'll have to take it to a test and there's only one place in the country that does it to see if it affects the handling of the car. Even if it's a paint job

And then get new registration papers.

ajrimmer42 10-05-12 12:33 PM

yep, here it's just a case of writing the new colour on your V5C registration certificate and sending it to the DVLA. Only costs a stamp. I didn't actually inform the insurer of the colour change last time, forgot lol, but I've declared various mods to it with no problem.

Best practice...would n't want to make a claim and give them the opportunity not to pay out simply over a vehicles colour :03:
