Best not mention the names of certain news sites where the entire shows are obtainable but such is the nature of the internet.

Actually, it was pure speculation based upon what I've read on the wiki about the books. :03: That and the fact that all the current plot hooks point towards it. :yep: Like I said, some of the writing has been a bit clumsy.

Well, Season 6 just kicked into high gear.:rock::rock::rock:

I must admit I've yet to watch a single episode of GOT.

But maybe like I did with Battlestar Galactica and Rome, I'll pick the first few episodes up, see if they pique my interest. And then binge watch. :D

I just finished season 2.

Jimbuna 05-17-16 04:32 AM

I'm honestly not that impressed with Season 6 thus far (after four episodes). The build up to what I hope is going to be an earth shattering climax is taking far too long in preparation but I live in hope.

I've watched the first 3 episodes years ago, the pilot episode didn't hit me and gave it 2 extra episodes more to see if it still would but left it at that.
It's unusual as something like an epic fantasy is something I would totally dig.

I want to rant, but I'd geive away spoilers

So far season 6 is a lot better than season 5 and something big is on the way.
Especially after Cersei and Olenna had that little chat in the council room.

Up to date apart from last nights, only thing that pissed me off is

Joffrey didn't get the death he so much deserved.

I really enjoy GOT, it has a rich ensemble of interesting characters, lots of intrigue and drama. I rank it up in my top 5 of all TV series for quality. There are stretches where the characters are examined at length, always really good dialgue. Some people want a major battle or set piece every episode, but GOT delivers a good proportion of high impact episodes. The only warning I give to friends who decide to start the series, understand that you may need a program to keep track of the characters in the beginning. The show does not spoon feed the viewer, you have to keep up with who is in which family and what their background is... but it is well worth it.:salute:

Aye, keep the spoilers in the spoiler tags. :yep:

That little creep Jeoffrey is still alive into season 6? That's disappointing.

:rotfl2:

You know what that is? That's the sound of your leg being pulled.

I can say no more. Just keep watching. :sunny:

I'm in two minds.

I'm looking forward to the royal (literally) buster-duck that's going to occur with House Tyrell fighting the Spanish Inquisition with the Lannisters egging them on, then House Aryen goes up against Bolton and whoever sides with them and Jon Snow leads the wildlings against Winterfell. Meanwhile House Dorne aren't going to just sit in their sand dunes while the rest of Westeros falls apart, you can guarantee that as soon as the Tyrells redeploy to Kings Landing, they will start agitating in the south.
Meanwhile Daenarys just took control of one of the largest armies on the planet, and one of the least disciplined, but she has no ships, so she won't be going across to Westeros this season, but will probably wind up skirmishing with the other cities nearby.

There are a couple of things that get me though, some things just seem a bit too cliché, and would the Dothraki really allow themselves to be taken over by a woman so readily? I guess we'll find out next episode, but it just seems a bit too cliché in places...but we'll see how it pans out. :hmmm:

It certainly does have it's twists and turns. I'm hoping that Ramsey Bolton guy gets his comeuppance in the end. Kinda like the punishment fits the crime. :arrgh!:

Season 6 in February 2017 in Germany, if going by the past examples. BIG SIGH. They always get broadcasted in free TV in the early months of the year. We just have had season 5 this February. And then it often is 2, 3 or 4 parts in one evening.

Pay-TV has it some time earlier, but I do not book that.
