Yeah, an ME1 shotgun will eat ME1 husks for breakfast. :DL

But...

ME2 shotgun = facepalm :nope: and ME2 husks = RUN AWAY!!! :o

Yea, and anouther question, why did we go back in weapontry evolution to useing normal smaller amounts of aamo in ME2?:hmmm:

I think that when you combine the spending power of the gamers who write things like "wtf no reload. fail." the result is a shockingly large $$$.

I wouldn't mind the new reload mechanic if they hadn't given you such a ridiculously small amount of ammunition/thermal clips. 5 or so clips might be more than enough in a 'realistic' FPS, but when your gun is dealing out arbitrary amounts of damage per shot you end up burning through your assault rifle, and then your pistol in about 30 seconds of combat. My hardcore playthrough is going to be very interesting

They didn't: instead of overheating, it now ejects the sink and allows continued fire.

What they fail to explain is why heat doesn't dissipate from these sinks over time though. :nope:

In both ME1/ME2 armor piercing ammo is better against husks.

ME2 Husks + Shockwave = what husks?

Only time on insanity when they were a problem was on that mission on Horizon, and only because of their companions. But with a bit of strategy... I'm not going in details so I won't spoil anything.

That's why it pays being an adept :DL

Indeed. IMO a better way would've been to mix the mechanics: Instead of just having a set number of shots per heatsink, heat builds up but can dissipate over time (like the first game), but if it goes above a certain level you need to insert another (like the second). And maybe on top of that, the longer you use a heatsink the longer it takes to cool down until it eventually you have to swap it out anyway.

But oh well. Looking at the wiki the ammo situation apparently doesn't get much better with upgrades...

Um, are you saying your recommended attack for ME2 husks on insanity is... shockwave!? Surely I've misunderstood you...

When they come in large numbers and accompanied by abominations, shockwave does wonders dispersing and knocking them back. And if you have Heavy Shockwave it goes right trough them.

I suppose dispersing them and knocking them back is better than nothing, but I prefer to just kill them. ;) Seriously, shockwave vs husks on insanity!?

Um, no it doesn't. It doesn't even damage their armor. It just staggers them.

We are talking about the blue, re-purposed zombie-like guys right? When I use shockwave on a group some of them are instantly killed...And the squad finishes the rest.

At least it worked for me :hmmm:

later edit:

sorry, you were right! It's been a while since I finished it. I remember now: on insanity they gain armor. I used Incinerate and Shockwave to keep them at bay though.

Ok, Commander Sheaperds first tour of duty is almost done, do where is his character profile saved so I can import him to ME 2? So I can get killed, revived by cerberus, and then kill some more people as soon as im done with ME1...

It's SHEPARD!

just complete the ME1 game, then import the save to ME2 in the Configure panel of ME2 (Save Games)
