GWX Install problem.
I had a problem downloading v3.0, and I was wondering if anyone knows what I did wrong. I had an original v1.4 unmodded version installed, (although I had done a couple of missions) and I downloaded the bins, uninstalled the game, re-installed and patched to 1.4, and then tried to run the .exe and got the following message:the gwx 3[1]-7bin could not be located Please insert the disk and try again. or something to that effect. I downloaded all of the bins into the file that populated when I began to save the download, and this bin file 3-7 is saved into that file. I am running nt. Will I have to uninstall everything, re-install the game and 1.4 patch and start again? I know very little about either computers or modding, and if someone could help I would greatly appreciated it.

Is bin 7 named the same as the rest ??
If not the installer wont find it which is happening |
Yeah bin 7 is named as the rest, I just downloaded them all, should I maybe try to re-download it? I did do that and recognized the file was there and asked me if I wanted to save the new file anyway. I did not download the MD5 program is that my problem?

If you download the md5 and hashchecker programs it will compare all 7 bins and exe against the hashs of the origianal for corruption
Try delete both bin 7s you have and re d\l then run the hash checker hash checker http://files.filefront.com/jsmd5m+se.../fileinfo.html GWX 3 md5 http://files.filefront.com/GWXmd5/;1.../fileinfo.html |
Just one quick question, any time frame for the SH3 Commander cfg? And is the "Sabbotage and Malfunction" option the only thing that needs to disabled for compatibility??
I think I have a mod somewhere here that allows you to bottom the boat without destroying it. I think its GWX2.1 Compatible, any reason why it wouldn't work for 3.0?? Thanks in advance for any help. |
Ach! Mein Gott! I just got it to install, going to re-start and start playing now. Thank you very much for your help, I know that you guys must have sacrificed a lot of time, especially over the holidays for us U-freaks out here, and just wanted to say thank you for all your work and effort.

Yes, the "Sabbotage and Malfunction" option is the only thing that needs to disabled for compatibility. Not sure about the answer to your final question. IIRC, Mikhayl made that mod. haven't had time to look it over yet, or to message Mikhayl. May be able to after the weekend is over. |

As its the holidy season there is no timeframe for new cfgs When Privateer has the time to do  Sergs camara mod shouldnt be used with M&S enabled either for that same reason Not looked into the other mod to see what it has Is that Mikhayls one ? |
Mikhayl's mod should be A OK.
I really wanted to get this in, but things went from bad to worse. And the over all release date was Top Priority. Believe me, there were alot of things many of us wanted to include. But you'd be waiting till May 24th had we included them all. |

Mikhayl's mod only changes the zon files for the Player Subs.
As I go through the Commander files, I'll watch for anything that may affect this mod. But since it's an added zone? it should not affect anything. And haveing a look? There are no random or sabotage settings that affect the zon file. What a pity!! As the zon file is a critical file? |
My congratulations to GWX-team!
I never used GWX-mods ... May be time has come to make it ...? Or to wait the following release ...? ... What volume has GWX 3.0 (all files)? For files downloading it's necessary high-speed torrent. Is it jimbuna's link? Thanks. |
Yes Jimbunas link is the torrent
IIRC tis 1.31Gb Anvart  And no there wont be another release :rotfl: |
