Could be a damaged sound file.
Try to use another sound folder.

no a sound as buzz, some times i listened it. im not sure if its wanted sound or not.

Maybe it's the "Faaaaaaaaahrzeug" from Das Boot, I am not sure if that was integrated in WAC?

The original "Faaaahrzeug" sound file was annoying because it was cut badly.

Edit: I reworked all those files, but never could release them, because I couln't give propper credit.

I just had a look into some sub files to find the 12 o clock. Unfortunately I found nothing!

Remapping AI U-boats!

Yeah... old things that got out of mind.
So.. does someone know if there is a fix for this somewhere or do I have to reclone the AI subs from WAC4.1 myself with Pack3D?

i dont know but with gwx and nygm, with those instalation i dont have this problem (same base instalation exe by copy). i cant save a single game no matter with wich sub or flotilla i select.

hi Hansolo,

i don't believe (without been an expert at all) that you have to reclone the AI Subs. I think that you can use the remapping tool of s3d to achieve a fix.

it is one click procedure ,just by choosing the base id for each sub

ps: which are the AI subs folders for wac ?

It seems a bit complicated to clone with S3D.
Although I worked with it for years now I always uses pack3D to clone units.
Maybe you try with S3D.
The following submarine folders are AI subs in WAC4.1:

-NSS_SclassUS

-NSS_Uboat2B
-NSS_Uboat7a
-NSS_Uboat7c41

faulse alarm Hansolo !
it is more complicated that simply remapping the .dat files. there are ids at the rest files (.sim , .zone , ...etc) which are connected to .dat's ids and the procedure becomes very long and tiring.

Maybe ,if we knew, which specific parts of these files are responsible for the issue and remapping just these would do the trick.just guessing here

Why not open .dat file, then for each id contained in this file, search in which SH3 files this id is present, and see what id is in another file which has nothing to do with U-Boots ... Then, you just have to rename that id, and the id linked to it in .sim, .zone, etc.
