from secret sources "above the ken of the layman" as I have often used in open court! Is this Vickers Wellington MkII? Which used the RR engines.
|
It is a Vickers Wellington DWI Mk II. I'd never known of this odd variant until a couple of weeks ago.

Puh, this was a hard one and I must admit I fell for the "perspective displacement" in the detail picture and kept looking for a shoulder wing airplane. So "bravo" to Buddha for the riddle and to Aktung for unravel the mystery. Seems this one was for baldies with perfect eyesight and not for baldies that have become blind as an olm in the last years.
So, a car? |
From what position was that Wellington photographed, in the initial photo ? :o :hmmm:
|
An American model/make of car?
|
A two-seater?

I know zilch about Vickers Wellington bombers. But the the ghost of Christopher Plummer appeared in my mancave and muttered "think Iron Duke man!" https://i.pinimg.com/564x/55/66/d2/5...6900904d85.jpg :arrgh!: :timeout: Quote:

Bingo! U nailed it. It was the subject of investment fraud; I just read an article about a film on it in the WSJ a week ago, and earmarked it for this thread! It's a three-wheeler with BMW motorcycle engine designed to be fuel efficient in the '70's fuel crisis. There is one inoperative one on display museum. Over to U !!:Kaleun_Salute: I've nuthin' prepared and the bride says I gotta do winter gardening/pruning today!.... but the Continuum lives! :wah:
