59 here a fan of war sims for years. Play SHIII and IV, just picked up World in Conflict. Also love platformers on my PSP.

A 16 year USN vet. Began as a Gunners Mate Missleman worked up to E8 and jumped to the LDO program. Spent all my time in WestPac sans the tour at Great Lakes Gunnery School. Got commissioned and jumped out as a Ltjg.... it ceased to be fun after the officer gig. Now I'm a Auditor.. everone's friend :o . Moved from Socal to Dallas and here I be.

SHIII is one of the best sims out there, the Modders have made it so. IV is coming along - but III takes the cake. Nothing better than standing on deck watching the sea move.

24. I Joined this forum when I was 19 playing Silent Hunter II. Back then I was one of the only young'uns here. Saw Das Boot when I was 12 and loved seeing the war from a different perspective. Always thought u-boats were invincible!

29. Didn't go into the Navy like my dad and his dad, but I still ove the sea. Enjoyed first person shooter but they got boring after a while. Couldn't get into roleplaying or strategy games (prefer real life). Then I found SH3. Like an earlier poster said, nothing beats standing on the bridge of your boat ina moving sea on a stormy day.

It's World War 2. That would be 'His' Majestie's Navy, 'Him' being King George VI. The future Queen Elizabeth II is still a teenager.:sunny:

I can plainly remember the Bay of Pigs, Cuban Missile Crisis, Yuri Gagarin and Laika, first dog in space. The day JFK got killed, Martin Luther King and Woodstock. All that stuff really happened. I'm a product of the hippie generation, now 57 years old.
