Hmm, looks to me like Moby Dick was in the neighborhood and suffered a massive attack of diarrhea :hmm:

On second thought, I do believe it's an Oil slick!!!! Yeah!!! Looks fantastic too, it's something I've wanted to see since Day One...

With any luck, it will be able to be set on fire by a burning ship, and turn the Jap survivors into Krispy Kritters! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Can't wait for this mod to be released, with every pic I see my jaw drops farther. Fantastic work modders, you guys RULE

searching the internet trying to find sea foam that will work better for the way the game engine operates.

Observations:cool:

leovampire 09-11-07 09:01 PM

the newest enhancment that is almost done

is the ability to see the fire and explosion reflections at night on the ocean from a distance and to see some of these effect's from under the water if using that camera. Even muzzle flashes will show up at night as a water reflection.

rcjonessnp175 09-11-07 09:07 PM

Sweet!!!!!

leovampire 09-11-07 10:37 PM

Is this too much for cloud reflections?

Or is this okay? This is 0 mps wind and waves so it shows up a lot more

http://static1.filefront.com/images/...f.thumb250.jpg

rcjonessnp175 09-12-07 05:57 AM

looks good to me, real life calm water u can make out the clouds about perfectly, so id say that is definate improvement:up:

Sweet dudes, sweet!

WilhelmTell 09-12-07 09:39 AM

All of you guys involved, great job ! This looks sooo awesome !

But I have one request: The clouds are traveling in the opposite direction of what the smoke is traveling. Maybe that can also be fixed with that mod. Whoever of you guys rewrote the waterfoamPS.fx (great job:up:), could you please have a look into the cloud shaders to find a solution for that ? Or can't the problem be found within the shaders ? Maybe it has something to do with the scene.dat ?:hmm:

Digital_Trucker 09-12-07 10:15 AM

 Looking good, Leo. Much better.

leovampire 09-12-07 12:54 PM

new sea foam textures almost done for the mod

thanks to Jaketoox for a start should have svreen shots today.

As for the cloud's not sure yet if that can be adjusted to work with the wind or not but if it can be adjusted maybe it will work right. Just need to be carfull as we don't want that morphing cloud look again the game had in it's early day's of release.

I spent all of last night enhancing fire, smoke, and explosion effect's for reflections and to show up in the clouds a bit especialy at night. Plus was working on getting the ship sinking effect's to look better with some more ocean effect's to match it.

waiting for something from Kriller2 to test as well. And I know l3th4l is working hard to get the oil slik effect working right.

Please Leo ...leave the seagulls alone ...they don't have to poe (****) on our subs to be realistic to :rotfl:
