Couldn't see any Golden sheep so picked up a few packs each of Black Sheep, Amigos and this one below which I may have tried before but can't be sure.

Co-op IPA
https://i.imgur.com/H4KmfzP.jpg 4.5%, "Brewed in Stockport" (Frederic Robinson Brewery) for Co-op Stores, £1.99 or three for £5.00.
The flavour of this beer belies the extremely dull-looking label: it's smooth, frothy, full-flavoured and honeyed... and it seems to keep a head on it right to the bottom of the glass. On the back there is also a quote from a Co-op member describing it as "Voluminous, good body and fruity hop" |

A beautiful amber ale with no sweetness this time, just a full malty bitterness. Another of the £1.99 or three for £5 from the Co-op |
Been well over a year since I last had this but tonight seems like as good a time as any to re-acquaint oneself again.

Wild Bill's IPA

Another in the three for £5.00 Co-op deal. 5% ABV and a darker, nutty ale with a good strong bitter flavour which lingers well after. Brewed by Marston's |
Gonna give this bad boy a try tonight while I have my Chinese curry (onions and mushrooms waiting to be added).

Here are three that I've loved for quite awhile. The first one has become a favorite after work when I get home on Saturdays.

I'd like to get hold of that first one. Hey... didn't you see your birthday thread, buddy?

Reffering back to #136 and #137 I popped into the town centre Morrisons after dropping the wife off for work and finally come across some Golden Sheep Ale, so I purchased more Black Sheep to compare them both tonight.

I went round to the in-laws today and my father-in-law had found some bottles of ale in the bottom of his cupboard with "best before June 2016" on the neck. His wife forbade him to drink them so I brought them home with me... I had one at about eight o'clock and I'm still okay... Moira had said that I'd get it within two hours if I consumed something that was bad for me.

Bought in the 4 for £6.00 deal at ASDA. A light red, bottle-conditioned ale with a gorgeous smooth malty flavour given a distinct kick by the 6.5% alcohol content... this higher ABV enhances the taste so very much. This will definitey be a four-bottle purchase next weekend. |
Back in the day, I attended a Northumbria Police ten week course at RAF Dishforth and the club at the base (The Pack Horse) stocked an interesting variety of ales.
This one turned out to be one of the most popular and it always puzzled me why after having enjoyed a good session the night before we were allowed to undergo high speed chase techniques and other such training but in all honesty the base was MOD property and members of the public weren't allowed plus the fact the driving tracks were quite expansive. Soooo, came across this in Asda this morning and thought why not and no, I won't be driving in the morning. https://i.imgur.com/zbWORoQ.jpg |
Theakston's 'Old Peculier' is a true and famous classic. It was always the most popular beer wherever it was sold... I'm in hopes I'll find it in our local Asda later this week
