Did someone say mud?

https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...53662829_n.jpg

Spending the weekend at a local Pay and Play off road centre, soooo much fun. and Muddy as heck :arrgh!:

Even after one run round the "easy" stuff I've really found out the true capabilities of this little beast and wow can it do some stuff! Admittedly I did have to get winched out within about 100yds, but after a very nice bloke in a similarly modified Vit came along and offered to lead us round (followed by a very nice Suzuki SJ to complete the convoy) I went through, and over some things i would never have thought possible, only having to be towed out once. One particular hill I thought totally out of the question after seeing even the guy in front struggle with, he said it would be no problem, and after 3 attempts, each gathering more momentum I made it easily :) very proud of myself for that :D

Unfortunately I didn't get any pics or video of it as both me and Jim were crapping ourselves the whole time...

Anyway, few more piccies :)

He got stuck again lol

And then the Discovery got stuck...

https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...95832785_n.jpg
It took no less than 4 attempts to get him free, involving 2 Vitaras, a tree and finally a Land Rover Defender lol

But yeah it was fun haha

And we're off again tomorrow :D so hopefully be some more pics to follow :)

I'd be happy there as pig in :rotfl2:

The only difference between men and boys is the price of the toys

I've only ever off-roaded in military Land Rovers and they are astounding what they will get you through/up. Aside from being rolled in the desert, they don't like doing handbrake turns on Brize Norton's 26 threshold - who knew that'd damage the prop shaft.

Looks like a good laugh (when it's over), how much is it?

It's bloody brilliant haha. Just £20 per 4x4 for the weekend, including camping. Me and Jim just went halves on it.

Oh bloody hell
The best things in life are dirt, or should I say mud, cheap

Got a few more pics from today, unfortunately it rained a fair bit, but that did make it rather more challenging :D

Little SJ had popped one of its rear shafts, hence the ratchet strap holding the wheel in place haha

No one told you how the handbrake works on a Defender?
DOH. I used to do off roading with my dad in a Defender 90 with diff guards, widened track for larger steering angle and fat tyres. It was great fun.

Now my mate at work does off roading and they do extreme winching stuff, would eat the ones in your photos for breakfast and **** them out at lunch.

If I can and he doesn't mind I'll link pictures. Just to say his Defender which is modified has the radiator unit and fan in the back..go figure..

Vit is a great giant beater though, nice and light.
