This whole situation is a complete joke, and so is Ubisoft. But why is anyone surprised? If this really is the last patch, then SH5 is toast. Finished. History. DOA. The unpaid, working for free SH5 modders cannot fix most of the hard-coded problems.

On Co2 , I noticed that it goes up by 1% about every 30-40mins , what is the danger level ? that means I should surface ..

wel, it means 2% every hour, 48% one day and 98% two days

About the time that an uboat can stay under the surface :D

Did they do night flights that early in the war ? Nope not till the Blitz started late 40 and then they couldnt see bugger all

Got map contacts on - through the pscope and looking at the map I have the Red Boxes - I Lock On to one of them and when I look at the map the Red Boxes are gone zooming in you usually get the outline of the ship but nothing only thing is the Dark Area (visual range) and the 1 2 3

Yep same issue
Thought it was just me but glad tis not

thanks I was wondering I had read something that when it got to 10 then things would get bad , in ver 1.01 at one time when it got to 9% I surfaced but when I come up out the hatch there was no one on watch. I thought maybe they were suffering with the Co2 and could not get up and out.

Umm yep,
It seems as though any Historical Mission i try and do, after about 30 seconds in i get heavy flooding, main pump failure etc etc then i start to sink and die. Would mods do this after the patch? Anyone else experience this? Every mission i try does same thing! WTF! LOL am i going nuts or what?? Please try some and see what happens..maybe its just me

Wordeee:damn:

Sounds like you're forgetting to close the hatch when you dive! :salute::har:

It would be really nice if developers took the Blizzard approach to things instead of blatantly trying to take our money with an unfinished product.

Single core use issues totally resolved for me, and I am finally happily playing the game, thanks UBIsoft for adressing an issue you really did not have to due to the printed sys requirements, I'll still support you!

Did a fresh install and patched straight to 1.2, started a new campaign with NO mods, and i got WAY better performance both inside and outside with all on max, full anti-aliasing in 1920x1200. Halo sun is back with AA on. Shadows are fixed... at least it looks like it. Tried some old savegames but it seems that they are not compatible as weird behaviours/bugs appear. If you don't start a new campaign you will get strange bugs and behaviour due to old files in the cache and in the savegames. This is something they should mention in the changelog/readme.

Secondly, even if mods do install they might install older files which will also create bugs/strange behaviours. You have to compare mod files to the updated files.

First bug i noticed so far is when i press F5 to man the deck gun, the "surface the boat" order is also given.

Just tried out for 30 mins so more checking needed of course :)

I have DEGRADED performance from this patch. Lower fps, bad mouse lag with binoculars/uzo/periscope. This is with vsync and crossfire off, with either of them on, it's even worse.

Is this how the devs "fix" things? Improve things for one group and bone the other?

I'd like to have some fixes too, with at least the same performance as I had with the last patch.

Phenom II x4 965 @ 3.4 ghz
4 gigs ram
radeon 4870x2
catalyst 10.4
windows 7 64-bit

I guess, in the end, it doesn't really matter. Ubi has already lost me as a customer, and it doesn't look like that will change anytime soon.

walsh2509 05-12-10 02:58 AM

I've notice a down grade in performance coming into the docks , didn't have that in 1.01.

Anyhoo , I did the Poland mission and set out on my 1st partol east coast of England I sunk 2 ships for 11,000+ after getting away from the DD I headed back to Keil but when I got there I could not End Patrol it only gave me the Refit option.

On the sinking of the 2 Merchants 1 of them took 5 torps to put down.

I was reading Battle Of The Atlantic and most only took 1 torp to put down.

At this point it's painfully apparent that the game just needs to be put out of its misery, dumped into a shallow grave and consumed by earthworms and vultures. :dead:

I just hope to god no one will ever find it.

sotto84 05-12-10 04:22 AM

in terms of performance i ma a bit happier now, since inside the sub things are slightly smoother now and outside, i earn something like 10 fps in average

yes more enjoyable and less pain in terms of interface actions of just by moving around the sub

i just got one silly trouble here..whenever i click to save the game, my game crashes... although it saves lol

rascal101 05-12-10 04:25 AM

I'm going to hang in there for a week or so more, but at the moment I'm sad to say I'm inclined to agree - and if we're right that's it for sub sims for what's liklly to be a very long time

Its amazing - Even though the publisher and the developers had a captive audience here at subsim, they produced this fiasco - a first class flop -

Why cant games producers, polliticians, and the mendia in general admit that the largest proportion of potential gamers, read customers, are not adolescents but mature adutls who want realistic and intellectually stimulating portrayals of life, history or fantasy

This game was supposed to have been educational - its just a pastiche' it does nothing for anyone - they've probably alienated the majority of Sub Simmers in the process - at least as evidenced by the negativity to this game on this website - it's a bloody scandal - and very sad

Best Regards to all Sub Simmers -a grand community
