Great, yet more renders. :nope: OK OLEG! WE KNOW YOU'VE DONE NEW 3D MODELS!!! But how they look in-game? Hell, even CFS3's planes look pretty nice when rendered in 3Ds Max.

Another update from Oleg ;)

Hi folks!

Trains modeling. Please pay attention for the shadows. It isn’t pre-rendering, it is a real time self-shading feature of 3D engine. On the trains and cars all wheels and levers on wheels are working.

Weathering of the aircraft in time. When you entering a career you’ll get the new aircraft (or partially used). Then with each flight your aircraft will be in constant changes of conditions… you will see in a sequence of missions. It isn’t only about how it looks, but also about performance of aircraft (new and used – are different).

Oleg informed me, 28AUG2008, the PC Specifications for BOB will be announced May '09,

Technical problems? In this rate, they'll soon think that the game engine is too old and decides to change it:nope: :rotfl:

EA storms Russia with 1C

Distribution deal sees publisher sign up with largest Russian software company

EA has revealed that it is to invade the Russian market following a new wide-reaching distribution deal with 1C.
1C will now distribute EA’s titles in Russia and CIS countries, including territory exclusive value packs.

Alongside the publisher’s standard product, 1C will supply three new economy jewel packed PC games from EA – the first including Crysis Warhead, C&C Red Alert 3 and NHL ‘09 this autumn. The deal will also serve to make the most of the burgeoning Ukraine and Kazakhstan markets.

“The choice of 1C as our strategic partner is not a random decision. Nowadays 1C is a key player on the distribution market of PC games in jewels,” commented EA VP and general manager of Central and Eastern Europe Peter Laughton.
“Due to its professionalism this company gained a high business reputation and we are interested in long-term and mutually profitable relations.”

Nikolay Baryshnikov, 1C’s international sales director enthused: “The agreement signed is an unprecedented event for the Russian market. The world’s leading publisher will unite with the largest Russian software company.

“I am sure this will aid the further growth of the Russian game market.”
STAY AWAY FROM 1C, DEVIL!!

EVIL!

Schroeder 09-24-08 10:00 AM

Lets hope it will be just a cooperation between them. If EA should get the idea to take 1c over we are screwed. Than we will either see a totally unfinished SoW that was rushed on the market to keep the developing costs low or (and that's even worse) we won't see or hear anything from Oleg again...:nope:

So, EA pi$$ off!!!:yep:

I'm sure we will see EA "take over" 1C in the future. No question about it. EA's money bag is just too tempting. :nope:

XabbaRus 09-24-08 10:44 AM

Well lets hope AAA can keep tweaking the sim.

Raptor1 09-24-08 11:18 AM

Why must EA always interfere?

It's like they have been given a mandate from the devil to find any good game under development, buy the company and then close it down

Task Force 10-03-08 03:18 PM

I plan on sticking to IL2, Untill this game is tested by someone here.:D

GlobalExplorer 10-03-08 03:49 PM

I would laugh if 1C takes over EA one day never underestimate the power of new Russia. But I agree this is bad news, wtf did UBI opt out of the flight sim branch?

Concerning release date I was fed up long ago have gotten into other sims (Battle of Britain 2) and don't look back a lot. I check back on SOW from time and time, but theres never anything happening, if it really is multiplayer like IL2 I will not like it anyway, and who knows if and when it will come out? Certainly not before Christmas 2009.

I just feel bad for the people who have anticipated this since the announcement which I remember was 2003. LOL if you had a newborn at that time he comes to school now.

Task Force 10-03-08 03:51 PM

Lord I hope we dont have the same problem with this game as some of us had with spore.
