Description
Historical note: The HMS Courageous left Plymouth on the evening of September 3, 1939 on an anti-submarine patrol in the Western Approaches accompanied by four destroyers. On the evening of September 17, 1939, she was on one such a patrol off the coast of Ireland. The U-Boot, U-29 under the command of Lieutenant Otto Schuhart torpedoed and sank the HMS Courageous. The exact location was 150 nautical miles WSW from Mizen Head, Ireland. The aircraft carrier went down in just twenty minutes. Playable in all Super-mods.
