I feel a lot better about the reality of SH IV coming to be with an official website up and running now. Will we be able to pre-order the game from Subsim anytime soon?

Nobody knows yet. My guess would be a release date in April.

With SH2 we were able to pre-order through Subsim over a year in advance. I would love to be able to show support for IV and to aid Subsim as well. This post is just about being able to possibly pre-order. It was not about a guess at a release date. I have no problem putting up cash in advance, if I know we are really going to get it in the end. I would think Ubisoft might want to know that there is real demand (I want it, I want it, I want it!) for this game. I want the developers to know that they will make money if they do it well.

As far as a release date goes, I've put my mark in the office pool on December 7th, 2007.

Ubisoft have promosed release of SH4 in Q2 2007, so it will certainly be available by June 2007 at the latest unless there's an unforseen catastrophe. Because I think the production is in good shape, I'm confident that we'll be able to order it it March and get delivery in April.

This is true, the Silent Hunter series doesnt have a huge fan base like Halo or GTA, they have a decent sized fanatical fanbase :yep:

Well sometimes pre-ordering gives you a few extras that you wouldn't get otherwise, which you'll know when it becomes available.
