I am half-way thorugh my first patrol (1939) using TGW and I have yet to receive a radio message on where there is a convoy.

When playing the vanilla SH3, I always received information about a convoy and then it showed up on the map so I could plot an intercept.

What do you mean by radio message ?
The ones where you have to press M to read or a contact report that appears in the text screen at the bottom ?

They don't start unil you're 3/4 done with your patrol.

Sorry, but I don't know how I receive a message about a convoy.

Contact reports appear at any time depending on how close you are to important contacts
And yes the number of contacts was reduced from stock IIRC as in RL the nav map wouldnt be covered in convoy contacts
There is a convoy route pull down map in the top left corner with the main convoy routes - you will still have to hunt its not like a bus route where just sit and wait for one to come along but it gives you an idea of where they are

By saying "pull down the map in the top left" are you referring to that dark tab at the top left? If you are, then I'm sorry, I didn't know. Thanks.

No need to apologize. That's why we ask questions after all: because we don't know something and want to find out the answer. :)

There are a few pull down sheets in different screens - right in the top left corner
A flag chart in periscope\uzo
A convoy map\speed charts and minefield maps in the Navmap view

Place you mouse on them and drag into view

Thanks a bunch. That certainly helps.

I looked at the top left corner and found a watch, a sheet with speeds on it and that's all.

It's a bit difficult to find, depending perhaps on your resolution.

Right to left there should be 4 tabs: the first two dealing with speeds/distances/times, the third friendly minefields and subnets, and all the way at the far left is a tab that shows a full map with convoy routes and enemy aerial coverage. That last one might not be readily apparant, just hunt around at that corner and you should find it.

There should be a map. I think itīs borders are brown.
