Sound Looping

playing GW (current version) I have been developing a problem that seems to be getting slowly worse. When submerged the creaking and groaning sounds form a "loop" and keep repeating at a cycle of 2 to 3 seconds, not always the same sequence of sounds. These render a visit to the radio/sonar room as pointless as the only sounds heard are these! They continue even on the surface and until the mission is stopped. I think they may be connected to time compression but are starting to occur even when I keep TC to a minimum.
Any Ideas?
