By GEORGE CONGER
Jewish leaders in the UK have joined their Muslim and Catholic counterparts in objecting to proposed government regulations requiring new faith schools to set aside up to a third of their places for members of other faiths.

At some point, you just have to think the people will say "no more" to this kind of foolishness.
the government has a plan..i don't know what it is mind but it is quite obvious that there is one..as this sort of blatant contradictory legislation does not happen by accident...an integreted society with segregated schools??? IMO the goverment wants or needs socail disintegration in order to implement some future rescue plan....probably won't know what that is untill the oil runs out and we're all que-ing up for candles and eating out of rubbish bins....fascinating
i mean take a look at this...
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/education/6061836.stm
and note the statement
"Schools should cross ethnic and religious boundaries, and certainly not increase them, or exacerbate the difficulties in this sensitive area"
how does this tie in with the introduction of "Faith Based" schools?
it's quite deliberate misinformation....they say one thing and do exactly the opposite...
and how does this tie in with the removal of religious education from the normal state schools??
leaving religiuos education to single faith establishments that by their very nature will be more fundamental than multi faith establishments...(no need to tone things down for the other faiths) there by slowly generation by generation encourageing and nurturing the divisions in society not healing them
they are deliberately misleading the public...about something...it is becoming so blatant that it allmost beggars description
LOL here's my paranoic thoughts...
Western Governments are in the process of staging some obscure sort of political Coo

Ack! They think we're all numbers. "25%", "30%", whatever %. Children, form two lines, the line on the left, to that school, the line on the right, to that other school. Now, grow up as I want you to, and love me, obey me, worship me.
divide and conquer the oldest trick in the book...trouble is why would a Government want to divide and conquer it's citizens??? (albiet in extreme slow motion)
they would not allow Race Schools...and frankly in real terms i fail to see the difference between a Race school and a Faith school ..one may as well have a Coca_Cola school or a Macdonalds school...or a socailist school or a communist school or a BNP school...who are they to draw the line ..who are they to dictate what is a valid excuse for having your own private education system and premises and agenda and bias...who are they to decide what is a valid bias or belief or political agenda....
nah this is a cultural boomerang..we wont realy know what the reason for this strange idea untill the boomerang comes back
are western democracys wondering if they couldn't learn something from dictatorships?
are we happy with schools teaching very narrow out looks. focused on a certain aim....is this not just another trick learned from the Nazi's
it is literaly begging to be exploited ...and our kids are being used as lab rats....why not have a Manchester United School? or a Nottingham Forrest School??? ..what happens if some one wants to set up a Pagan Wicca school? or a Satanist school?
who is going to decide who can do what?
and why...
who is going to keep track of the money procured by these schools..who is going to ensure it isn't used for "other" purposes...or are they going to be funded out of the state school budget...(LOL)
im assuming they are fee based schools...
dang it they completely rejected the excellent grammar school system because of it's "elitist" fee based segregation of pupils from the mainstream...but you can have exactly the same set as long as you declare your self to be a Faith based school...it just goes on and on....
these schools should be hit with descrimination legislation and closed down without hesitation..
any factory that only employed muslims or christians or jews or hindus or any one particular group would be hit so dang hard with the same legislation that they wouldn't have time to hire a lawyer
but a school can do anything it likes...why is that exactly..because we treat our kids like chattel?
if you can have a faith based school ..why not a faith based factory??? or a faith based government
the whole thing is just a complete load of old cobblers...
At some point, you just have to think the people will say "no more" to this kind of foolishness.
Well they better hurry up I'm low on puff on this PC Madness. ;)
IMO the world situation has become so complicated that no-one wants the job of coming up with a better system...no one is sure if it is even possible...(except the religious groups of course lol)
meantime we lumber inch by crawling inch ever closer to "ground zero"
which as we all know is the day that Oil consumption exceeds pernamently Oil reserves...at which point anything becomes possible...im sure we are less than 50 years away from this moment in human history..and as yet there has been no obvious and public attempts to find a replacemnt source of fuel/energy/chemical source..no governmental programs pouring billions into research..no consultation with the public to allay fears regarding this moment..quite literally we are all just trying as hard as we can to pretend it isn't going to happen..."oh some one will come up with something"
im actually beginning to wonder if there isnt any possible alternative..and the Governments of our countrys are simply going to let it happen..declare martial law and slug it out
I understood that we already had faith schools (we certainly did in Scotland when I was of that age) and that this was a move to break down the barriers - perhaps I'm just too naive and trusting.

your right of course...but this is perhaps a more difficult selection of Faiths..(as if protestant and catholic wasn't inflamatory enough)
R.I.P The Human Race
unless they have really pulled the fat out of the fire and actualy found oil on MARS....that might explain all the rovers looking for signs of life...life and oil being pretty much the same thing:hmm: i hope to God they have ...because this nonchalent attitude to the Oil issue is extremely un-nerving..
I am beginning too wonder if all this PC Madness is playing apart in deflecting the big issue in what's going on? Something is going on here in the UK and it's not going to be..... Well you can see for yourself.

all i can say is they (the government et al) are either mind numbingly stupid or they have a plan....i'm not sure which is the most worrying

Well I think part of the question is if we are a secular state should we have faith based schools at all? AFAIK there have always been faith schools. Look at the number of grammar schools that were affiliated with catholicism etc. I know of one good private school that is a Quaker school, yet many if not most of the pupils were not Quaker.
I think the other question is if these should be funded out of the public purse. I argue that it should not be? State education should be secular full stop.
