I feel so good about it, I had to tell ya.
I've finally been running through some of the Single Missions lately, and today I did "Barham".
For those who haven't played it yet, there are 3 battleships and like 8 destroyers cruising right towards you. At a certain point as they get nearer to you, they will turn to port and cut across.
Well, I layed silent at periscope depth, waiting as they got closer. When they began to turn, I went ahead slow and turned to starboard, as I'm sure most of you do. Well as they came across my bow and got in position, I had prepared to shoot 2 double salvos at the two closest battleships. The first 2 torps hit and sank the first ship, but luckily, the second salvo managed to hit each of the two remaining ships, wounding them enough that I eventually was able to surface and run both of them down. Actually the 3rd was a surprise. I was following a sound from the hydrophones which I thought was the task force, but when I finally got close enough, I realized that it was the remaining battleship all by her lonesome. Oh, and what was cool too, was that I had radioed in their contact and b4 I got my chance to finish the remaining two off, I got to see them attacked by air a few times which was kind of neat.
Anyway, I had fun and just wanted to share with you my experience. I don't know if many of you have played it or have done something similar, but that was my adventure for the day. :ping: :)
