According to a report on The Middle East Media Research Institute (http://memri.org/bin/latestnews.cgi?ID=SD131506), Apple's NY Fifth Avenue store has been slammed by "an Islamic website" as a "new insult to Islam".

The action without doubt is staged. However, since it spraeds like athelete'S foot that such "incidents" of poor victim Islam is being offended by ignorrant western nations, medias, warehouses, statements, authors, cartoon-drawers, priests, popes, politicians and people time and again, I can understand the sentiments expressed by Subman. It takes more and more discipline for myself, too, not to simply give in to slogans of "nuke-Islam-and-bury-this-BS" myself. Im getting sick and tired of this type of deeply distorted and crap-minded thinking. To hell with them. And if any Muslim feels offended by my opinion - okay, feel offended, then. I don't mind, I don't care for your hurt oh so precious feelings anymore. If you want me to respect you, start behaving and thinking in a way that it is worth for me to respect you, and make your people to do the same. World does not revolve around Islam.
What the hell are these guys going on about? The "bar" in the 5th Ave. Apple store doesn't even sell alcoholic beverages. It's known as the Genious Bar and people go there to get technological help for their computers. I was there only a couple weeks ago.

Quite frankly I find this whole thread hysterical like some other threads on this forum.
Hmmm, how come I didn't see thousands of Muslims burning Rubik's cubes during the 80's. Damn it, all those insulting tofu cubes on my plate. Death to cubes yada yada yada.
To me this is nothing but s**t stirring pure and simple. MEMRI claims:
On October 10, 2006, an Islamic website posted a message alerting Muslims to what it claims is a new insult to Islam. According to the message, the cube-shaped building which is being constructed in New York City, on Fifth Avenue between 58th and 59th Streets in midtown Manhattan, is clearly meant to provoke Muslims.
It reports on a single Islamic website. One lone website. Secondly, what is the website in question? Surely a link can be provided to it for all to view? This all appears rather weak, not to mention blown out of all proportion.

If it makes you feel any better you can start with me. I'll even give you the GPS coordinates to help put your bomb right on target. That way it will be 1.2 billion Muslims minus one with me.

Nah. Just the islamic clerics.
I think it's some one who try to put some oil on the fire.
But I must say, it's a good imitation. :yep:

The Media is a powerful tool being used and manipulated by all sides.
View with caution. :yep:

Yep. BTW, the initial report seems to have been from the SFGate (http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/sfgate/detail?blogid=3&entry_id=4203), back in April. Read the comments, too, while you're at it.

Thanks, that's the kind of people we're talking about here.
By now we can predict what a Muslim will complain about, for example, this could cause world-wide trouble:
:) <- Mohammed.
Even if I'm not refering to the Prophet, peace be upon him, but to a common man. I suggest Gizzmoe censors that while there's still time.
The question is: do we start changing our behavior and thinking in advance what will and will not be used by Muslims to wreak havoc? Given the historical precedents, I say that is useless even if you wanted to do it: absolutely anything you say or do can and will be used against you.
It is now Ramadan, they could point at pretty much anywhere and call death to the infidels who disrespect the Ramadan. There are Ramadan-student-police in turkish universities to put pressure on the less observant students, what wouldn't these students do to the infidel?
There's no shortage of excuses or scapegoats. Islamists don't use what we do to incite the hatred, but what we are. And as far as they care Konovalov is fair game, as much as the Muslims in Haifa were, and the ones in or around the WTC or in any other homicidal mass murder attack.

The more we appease them the more they want its just like hitler one day one side has to give, and i got a feeling that we will end up snapping and they will wonder why.
They want too much and still want more, well some one has to put a limit down some where cause political correctness is going way out of control.

Kind of like MS. Last time I walked around the MS campus, I saw a picture on the wall that said - "you will be assimilated"
Nice
