I'm having some problems at the minute with my SH III crashing and dumping me back to the desktop with an error message saying the game had to close. This happens everytime I try to man either the deck gun or the flak possitions, both using the W.O icon and the crew management screen. This is a completely new issue as I have played the naval academy deck gun level, flak, also the convoy attack.. It also happens whilst I had a test - looksee at the career levels with a type IX B. I can only assume that it is due to one or more of the mods I have installed. As far as I can see it's not the GW or the terrain and tree mods, or the skins for ships and aircraft. Everything still worked fine after I added those. The most recent mods, are Flotilla 1.44, uniform mod v.2 and lastly NYGM periscope mod v.1 . But I can't see how such item's would cause this particular problem.
Is this a matter of uninstall / re-installing the game and reload the mods, something I am trying to avoid simply out of convenience. Or is there a file or folder which I could tweak or replace to fix this.
System: Wxp H, asrock board, sempron 3000+, 1.50 Gb mem, sata hdd.
Game: All four patches installed, GW mods, sundry mods and skins. No tonnage war mods installed (still deciding).
I imagine I have accidentaly removed or altered a config file or some such during the manual mod installation. I have a backup of the data folder from before I installed the mods, but untill I know which file may need amending or replacing I thought it best wait and see if anyone knows of a specific cause.

I believe that this is your problem. You have GW installed and the you installed a mod designed for NYGM!

Those mods don't work pretty well together. I don't know what periscopes have to do with the deck or flak guns, but I guess is that you shouldn't have installed the NYGM mod! :hmm:

Ah yes, you are probably right. I wasn't sure about that one. I knew it probably wasn't right, but I think I took my eye off the ball installing it. Think I must have planned to install NYGM but lost track of the order in which I was doing things.
