I'm not really Sally Struthers, but I play one @ subsim.com. As you may have heard:
"If the Raiders are not at least 4-4 midway through the season, I'm going to shave my head and join a monestary :shifty:"
-Neal Stevens, American Hero
We have an impending crisis on our hands at Subsim.com, as the Oakland Raiders are 48 hours from being 0-4. If this happens, our beloved Neal will be promptly "shaved" and will be living the monastic lifestyle in a drab Siberian monestary. This must not happen! The Onkel has led us thru the SHII crisis, the Drebbel trial, and various other tumults. Now is the time to return the favor, and save Neal from such a horrible fate. What would the world be like with a bald Onkel? Oh the humanity! If we all cheer for da Raiders, our collective spirit may help the Raiders win atleast one game, maybe, dare I say- two games this year.
Your small donation to subsim.com will not only save a poor Onkel, but will save his daughters the humiliation of having a bald dad. Remember, it's for the kids.
Sally Struthers was not harmed in the typing of this thread.

Sorry, 49ers fan here. Any other weekend I could do it. I mean we all have an undying appreciation for Onkel Neal. But you ask too much. :-? All I can do is root for em' next weekend or something.
Sorry Neal. But I hope you meet with the clippers. Really, being bald for awhile really ain't that bad. ;)
Perhaps you both could give the rest of the world a translation before I part with any cash.Foot-ball=kicking a ball with your FOOT not picking it up and running with it.That game is Rugby.

Sorry, the Cowboys need all my cheering. :dead:
Neal can cut one sleeve off his lighthouse shirt and use it as a headscarf.
I judge from the replies on here that this is predominately a north american piece of what barely passes for prose and is thus impossible to translate for anybody outside that area.

So this is all about an Onkel becoming a Brother? :hmm:

Well, he's already a Father, so it's not too much of a stretch.

I agree. The Cowboys are going to need all of your cheering. I think that my Eagles may just have their way with them.

lol...I've been a Raiders fan since the days of Daryl Lamonica and Ben Davidson.
I've given up on expecting anything from them any more...I mean, Shell was a bust as coach the FIRST time around...what the hell did Al Davis expect the second time? My expectations of the Raiders this year is no better than 2-14. That *should* get us the #1 pick in the draft, though. :)
Man, I just hope and pray the 'Skins have a good year (2-2, with a tough game in the big apple today), otherwise, I'll have to getmy football jollies with Madden '07, not in real life.

Are you talking about that game where the contestants fall like they've been shot when they come within 3' feet of one another, complete with Acadamy Award level performances as they writhe in agony, only to jump up and dart away like nothing happened once the Referee has awarded them a penalty kick? THAT game?? :D
I watched a good deal of the latest World Cup...and I'm appalled at what's become of the game since I stood in the terraces at Stamford Bridge singing:
Aye aye yi yi, Bonetti is better than Yashin
Cooke is better than Eusabio, and (insert rival team here) are in for a thrashin'".
Yep, it's been a while.
The officiating in that tournament was abysmal, and the amount of "dives" the players were taking in the hopes of a free kick/penalty ruined the game, imho.
Still, it's up the Blues, and up the Bhoys!!
