View Full Version : And the sky went all black... SH III Problem inside! HELP!

OK, so I am using SH III 1.4b+GW1.1a. A strange glitch has happened. I was playing a single mission. Completed it, and quit the game. The next time I load the game it looks like this:

So I wonder, what the h*ll has happened? And as a side note, can it have anything to do with a file called "scene.dat" in my main \data folder? I didn't change anything in it, but I did look for something in it. I use an ATI Radeon X700SE video card, with the latest drivers.

Do you use SH3 Commander? Did you roll back before looking at scene.dat? How did you view the dat file.

I think a solution would be to get a 'clean' copy of scene.dat from one of the separate atmosphere mods.

Are you using GW1.1a auto installer or the patched version?

N.B I have both versions of GW so could post the correct dat file for you if needed.

How did you view the dat file? With Notepad.


Are you using GW1.1a auto installer or the patched version? The Auto-Installer for 1.1a.


N.B I have both versions of GW so could post the correct dat file for you if needed. Thank you! Let's try that first. I'm using the 16km DARK atmosphere version.

I don't know what happened but it sure makes a cool picture!:up: The sun looks like a a-bomb just going off!!!!!!!!:o Heck, I made it my desktop image LOL

I had the same effect messing up with the 16 km mod , but i donīt use GW yet.. :yep:

But the image is too cool ...is like a nuke test in a pacific atolon at night.:up:
