I'd go for the 355, buts thats just because I've always had a soft spot for them. The 550 is probably better performance-wise, but I dunno.

Neither....
Save up some more and get a Bugatti Veyron

can anyone say their opinion on these cars? I think the 355 looks better. Wouldnt know about driving, i dont know how to drive a car like that. Get your dad pay for some lessons so you dont end up around some tree. If i had the choice i would want some version of those Lamborghini Diablos, sweet cars..

Huh! Something must have slipped away during your posting, me too I have close friends and cousins that imports Ferrari's, and the only car they could ever get me for 11000 $ CAN is a freaking cheap 1984 Ferrari Mondial, which I wouldn't touch even if you give it to me. Others models from Ferrari will simply never reach that low price.
Did you forget a "0" perhaps???

Exactly what I was thinking...I don't know how good this friend is but that price is insane! For that kind of money what you should get out of a Ferrari is a 70's model that doesn't run, and needs a complete overhaul that will cost a boatload of cash. Top Gear did a challenge a while ago where the hosts each brought an Italian supercar for less than 10,000 pounds, which is way more than $11,000 CAN and while they all looked cool, they drove horribly. It's a really funny episode-watch it here! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKsOit11NOk&mode=related&search=)
Anyway, to answer your question- The more valuble car by far is the 550 Barchetta, with only 448 ever produced. However, for use in Canada I would rather have a hardtop which the Barchetta doesn't have. What it does have is a "downpour" soft top that limits the speed to 70 MPH-and in Canada that means that will be your top speed for much of the year. The 355 is a spectacular handling car although it is much less exotic than the 550- I would say buy the Barchetta- if you can't stand it than sell it for a ton of $ and buy something else!

cuz the only reason this friend is selling it for so low is because my dad helped him alot to get started around 20 yrs ago to start p this guys business now hes a millionare and he said jus for the heck of it he'll give me the choice of 2 different ferraris. his ferrari 355 has the same sound as that yellow ferrari in the youtube video. im now leaning towards the 550 barchetta but im still undecided. and i do know how to drive ferraris whenever my dads friend has some corporate party, i get to screw around with his 355 and do donuts and stuff that i dont want to say cuz its breaking the law(speed limit). he told me that hes selling the cars on the market for around 300,000$ for 550 and around 200,000 for the 355.

So that explains the incredibly low price... I understand now.
It's funny because those car in average cost over 14,000$ dollars a year to insure, more than what you will pay the car. :rotfl:
And to answer the question, now that I know you probably not joking,:D I would take the 550. The resale value will be better in the long run. That is what's all about Ferrari, the long run value. And the 550 is better for that. The 355 are all over the place, thus, the price will always be lesser for resale.
