Uninstall once more, but this time erase the sh3 folder in your documents folder too.

Also clean up the registry after un-install and prior to the re-install.

To clean your registry...you can go directly (manually) via Start > Run > Type: regedit

I reccomend this if you can find the SHIII information w/o any problems...Although; if you're asking how to clean the registry...this route may not be your best bet...I reccomend still, to grow familiar (it looks like I spelled it wrong ha) with the Windows Registry.

---

Here are two programs I highly reccomend to use as soon as you're down uninstalling SHIII.

http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ - Crap-Cleaner: This is a great all-around tool...Be weary on what you want to clean...take your time..and browse through it. (Its very very powerful for such a minute app. believe it or not..)

as well...

http://www.worldstart.com/weekly-download/archives/reg-cleaner4.3.htm
-Reg Cleaner: A great program to fix/delete problems on your registry.

Remember...once you're done with that; manually go through your registry searching for the UBI-Folder(s) and making sure any SHIII keys/.bins'/etc. are gone! (you can manually search for the UBI folder..or search it with the Find option.

good luck!

I'm remove the StarForce drivers first before taking the hatchet to your registry. There's a utility for StarForce removal, but they will be reinstalled first time you run SH3 afterwards.

Google for it since I believe it's a no-no to post the link here, even though StarForce is vile. :)
