Just curious. If I install and run SH3 on the Dell inspiron 8600 I'm currently using will it disable/render useless the cd/rw drive via starforce?
You'd need to install SHIII via a dvd drive. If it would cause any problems, it would be that drive, not the cd/rw drive. The only other way it would affect the cd/rw drive is in trying to make cds using certain software, of which Nero could be one brand affected.
:o:o:o Im having problem burning CD-rw's...The music is choppy at the beginning and at the end of the cd (no scratches in cd).. Is this the result of Starforce? PS: Using Nero...

Maybe, maybe not. Remove Starforce and try it again:

If you play SHIII again, StarForce will be reinstalled from the dvd..... just so you know. ;)
