Here's the pocket picking:

one proposal on the table is the controversial Vehicle Miles Traveled fee. That solution would charge motorists a penny for each mile they drive.

Well you have'nt seen anything yet - the City sees the clouds of stagflation spreading over the ditch. As Blair hits the liferaft why those nice Union guys could get their mits on the engine and their hands around Labours throat !
Sound familiar - Deja vu the 70s ? Massive inflation and 15% interest rates.

Maybe they will use the magic of the Pharoes embalmers on Maggie and stick her in a tank outside Transport House. One frosty look and they'll surrender....Course it might take a bit of miner bashing to concentrate their minds !! :nope:

Heck - only a bad dream ..............I hope ! :o:o:o.............:-?

A road use tax! I love it! Now all they have to do is adjust it per weight of the vehicle. Stick it to ths SUV maniacs that have taken over America's roads!
WOOHOO! I can't wait.  :sunny:

When you charge by the mile it in effect restricts liberty.

If i was charged 1p for every mile i do i would be looking at a good 25% of my wages being lost each week, then ad the 12% tax i pay the 7% national insurance and also my now £1,330 council tax thats gone up by 100% in the last year, out of that i still have to pay water gas electric food and everything else.

I would be left with minus figures every time theres no way you could do that here unless you wanted to starve and make homeless everyone, and then we would all be on the welfare benifits and come this time next year the government would be skint.
