Well we have heard that we will have photo recon missions in SH4.
If they do then they really need to have changing land based objects.

1.New buildings or fortifications being erected changing over time.
2.docks with vehicles/suplies visible to the sub which change over time.
3.identifiable ships in dock (by name) (changing over time is a given here)
4.visible army units soldiers/mechanised units changing over time.
5. sub pens with identifiable subs (changing is a given here)

otherwise your going to be photographing the same old positions all the time which would be a bit lame.

What do you guys think?
What other things can you think of to photograph?

I get the impression from requests like this one and others that ask to have historical events like the Battle of Midway, Coral Sea, etc. included that people don't really want a historically accurate submarine simulation as much as they want a virtual recreation of World War 2 they can tour around in. Hey! It's October 1944...time to cruise on over to Leyte Island and watch General MacArthur wade ashore.

Chrome is nice. But I think sometimes we expect too much of game designers who are basically being paid to come up with a WW2 Pacific sub simulation and not WW2 itself.

Although I would like to see the recreation you are talking about (navy battles mainly) this thread was more in regards to getting some different photo ops. Rather than say 5 missions per career and next career they would be the same missions, they would send you to a grid or specific point and spawn some activity there for you to photo, so more about variety than historical acuracy in this case.

Edit:
Even tho it may be expecting too much as you say, its still worth discussing mabe the devs will surprise us. Otherwise we will all be saying oh no not that photo op again which is hardly *dynamic*
