Maybe this is a weird question, but anyway:
Did the crew on german subs only use the suns height and/or stars for excact navigation? wasnt there any "radio-beacon-type-of-navigation"?
Example: if there were a radio beacon placed somewhere, like on Greenland, and another, like in spain, that they could use to get a fix on their position, or even better, if there were some "Relay-subs", that transmitted a signal for navigational use..? :hmm:
