in SH2 when you were in Periscope view or UZO you could click come to course where you were looking, is this possible in SH3 because its most handy!

Press the - key to set your periscope to your current bearing.
Press the = key to set your course to your periscope bearing.
Actually the first might be set periscope to 0 bearing. Not sure since I'm at work, but = is what you're looking for for "go where i'm looking!"

Well from your periscope 0' is the ship's heading. 0' is always the ship's heading because it is the direction of the bow.

No, that's 'bearing', not 'heading'. Heading is the true compass direction in which you are heading, hence the name. Bearing is the direction relative to your bow.
So yes, the '-' key will instantly return the periscope (or UZO or regular) view to '0' bearing, and the '=' key will bring the bow of the ship (heading) around to the direction you are looking.
But only if you are using the 1.4b patch.
I can't believe I never realized you could do that! That would've made chasing merchants so much easier than having to contantly say "20 degrees port...now starboard...port again...STOP! $*@&, too far, back to starboard...":shifty:

Well F**K ME! I guess I can't logically compete with a guy who's avatar actually has him on a boat.
You know I knew that already. I just didn't add the whole concept of relative bearing to North. What I meant was that 0' was always your course because 0' bearing is the end of your bow. Damn me and my incomplete explanation!:damn:
