It may very well be like that.

Actually. Colin Thiele, famous Australian author has passed away. Well known for "Storm Boy", and "Sun on the Stubble" , amongst others.

I am shocked and stunned. I'm absolutely gutted. :o :o

Peter Brock was a legend. The famous "05" number should never be used again in motorsport back home.

I remember going up to Bathurst from Sydney during the 90's frequently to watch Brock and Co do battle in their Holdens (GM for Americans) against the Fords. I was always a V8 Holden man 100%.

This is indeed in my view an even bigger loss to our country. What a great guy and race car driver he was. Condolences to the family. This is a very sad day.

RIP Brocky.

A great Australian race driver, an amazing man, lost.

If he had to go, I'm sure he wouldn't have had it any other way, doing what he loved most.

This has been a tragic week.

I honestly can't remember our country loosing two such prominent national icons in my 30 plus year lifetime. What a crummy and dismal week this has been. Please can we have no more bad news this weekend.

Oh yeah, and I had a car accident on Wednesday with my car being deemed a write off. Thank goodness that I can escape across to Dublin next week for some R&R.
