I would like to remind you that the maximum allowed size for a signature image is 400x120 pixels (please use JPG and GIF only, no PNG). It´s ok if it´s a bit wider or a higher than that. The signature, including text, should not exceed a height of 150 pixels. Smaller signatures = less scrolling and faster loading times.

PNG files are up to 10 times larger than JPG´s. PNG is a lossless format, that means that it doesn´t remove any data from the image like JPG does.

PNG files are up to 10 times larger than JPG´s. PNG is a lossless format, that means that it doesn´t remove any data from the image like JPG does.

Depends on what's in it. For simple line art, they can be smaller. For photographic material, bigger. The strange thing is, why GIF and not PNG, as GIF is lossless too.

GIF still is a very widespread format, especially for animated images.

That´s 688 x 254 (+ texts)

But I see DTB has already changed his sig, so no point on discussing about this. :up:
