Well I don't know if it's a glitch with my setup or wether this will work for everyone but.....
If I exit after completing a patrol in career mode, then immediatly go back to that career to the penultimate save "in base after mission" then BDU assign me the same grid square as my last completed patrol. It might be considered cheating but I have to confess I have done this a few times now. Grid BB93 is surrounded by convoys going in all directions (Jan 43).
Yes the date does keep changing these are new patrols!
My setup is Sh3 1.4 & Grey Wolves 1.1
Type IXC sailing from St Nazaire, Jan 43
I would be interested to know if anyone else can just keep reliving those happy times!

First i've heard of that, however I,m usally clouded by beer.:p
Never heard that before, but I'll head to that grid as soon as I can.
Thanks for the tip off ! Did someone say loose lips sink ships ? ;) :rotfl:
Just kidding, thanks. Can always use that kind of help. I just did a Med patrol, in the grid 20 kms NW from the tip of Malta pass 2 convoys, one large one, worth 140k. In case that's useful to anyone.

Hey, if it's in your favour, exploite it!:yep:
I found the route for unescorted passanger liners. Came home 240,000 tons. :arrgh!: Needless to say, no torps or deck gun ammo came home!

The odd ramming helps to finish off the stubborn ones too. Just keep an eye on your hull integrity.

Unescorted Passenger Liners !?! My favorite prey. Big, fat & they don't shoot back!
You can't hint at a target like that and keep quite. Where and when please.
 Intel like that just brings on the Happy Times.

I get back to you shorly about the grid, It last for a year, then it stops:cry:
I just installed my game on my new computer (I use to play on my previous work computer, but I changed jobs, and I can't install) and I added a few mods last night, it caused the game to CTD on loading:damn::damn::damn:
I give you a location and a rough date as soon as I can get it going again.
I promise!!!!;)
You cam PM me so I won't forget you!

I have a location for you now!!! The place to hang out and go duck hunting ison the border line of BF12-13, a 1/3 of the way down from the top of the square.:D It's there from June 1940 to end of 1942 (I think!:hmm:)
The liners are moving at a fair rate of knots (21 knts!!), but a torpedo or a couple deck gun rounds slow them down. To find the exact "sweet" spot where they going to pass submerge and do a sound check. Don't worry if you miss one, another will be along soon!
My record for coming home from here (with and IXB) was (wait for it!!) 300,000 tons!!!
Thats the truth!! I used a single torp shot (on mag settings) aiming under the second funnel. It took down about 65% with one shot:sunny:
Happy hunting!!
Just as long as I'm not there, if so, find somewhere else please!!

Just revisted my Old happy hunting ground last night! 288,000 tons (that's right!!) and it would have been more if I didn't bump into a convoy on the way there. Took down two tankers (T3 and T2) with a single torp each. Damaged two C2's with a torpedo each, which stopped them. Waited till the convoy was 3 1/2 km away, then surfaced and let rip from my deck gun, the first went down pretty quick, but the second was a little more robust.
A flower corvette desided to show up and wanted to stop my fun:nope: So my deck gun crew did some pruning, and the flower was trimed down to size:rock:
Finnished off the other C2, and wanted to keep gunning for some more, but the big brother of the flower, V/W Destroyer, made an appearance, So I went deep and lost him.
I made my way to my hunting ground, sinking a couple of lost ships that are lost no more!!!:smug:
Proceeded to work my way around the bottom of Ireland, I found my old hunting patch and proceeded to have fun!!!
I have some photos of my plundering and pilaging, which I'm uploading at the moment. I might post some later.;)
