Applying SH3 patches

I have reinstalled SH3 But the patches won't install. I have been trying to install the European CD version. I keep getting an error message that it dosn't recognise the menue.

Could anyone please help.

When you uninstalled did you remove the SilentHunterIII folder from my programs completely?
As well as the SH3 folder in my documents

I take it it is the european version you have not the US

Also add patch straight after install of SH3 - no mods and no cr**ks
