Sorry guys. I did a forum search but must've missed it. Any mod or ini tweak available that allows you to force time compression even when close to land? I don't mind the reset when it's near anemy aricraft or shipping (and I know SH3 Commander can allow you to set how this is handled), but it really bugs me when I set the TC to 32 or 64, travelling through the Kiel Canal in GW mod, I've plotted a perfect line through the center of the canal which I KNOW is safe, and I'm limited to this damn 4x.

Any help? :)

You can use SH3 Commander to change the time compression:

Or Wolfies Tweak Pack:

A bit of advice when changing TC settings using SHIII Commander. Make sure you set TC to 1 when enemy ships and planes are detected. On using 1 for enemy ships and planes, TC will also drop to one for all friendly shipping you encounter. There is no setting to keep you safe from subnets and mines. That you have to take care of when near port, if you have nets and mines installed.

Reason being for ships is that you will have a less chance of collisions with any ship in SHIII. Before SHIII Commander I would end up with a destroyed sub every once in awhile using a higher TC, especially over 32. Now using setting of 1 I haven't had that problem. Reason for aircraft is you would wonder why your sub is destroyed out to sea with high settings. Things can happen so fast in game that using settings over even 2 or 4 will leave you scratching your head and wondering what in the heck just happened.

Advice when near enemy warships. Use no TC and stay at 1 until you are over 2000 to 3000 meters away from them. Even using 2 to speed up getting away from them will allow them to detect you for some unknown reason, and come after you all over again..... just when you thought you had slipped away.
