I have noted in the past month or so that we have had a much larger group of captians and guests in this forum. SH3 is a wonderful sim, but the subsim modelers and community have kept it alive and have improved it greatly, both with individual mods and the super mods: IUB, RUB, NYGM, GW, in addition to the campaign mods. This has been made possible in large part by the Subsim web site and forums.:sunny:
Neal Stevens has started and kept this web site and we all own him a debt of graditude.
In addition to gratitude, a small donation to Subsim would show our appreciation for his great and continuing effort.:up:

SH3 has incredible lonjevity. It also has very solid support all over. I can remember seeing the sim guy in PC Gamer mention SH3 in his column I think 4 times. He said as much as he says to himself there are otehr sims on his desk he has to try out he can't quit SH3.

Looks like SH3 gets real good press. The community can only grow.

Cheers mates.

I suppose I'm one of these noobs. Came here because the UBI forum got on my nerves after a bit and there seems to be a bit more skill here.

I've known about subsim.com for years though, I've had SHII for a long time and got all the extra campaigns & mods from here.

Kudos to the admins, it's a really useful site. The 'Frugals World' of Sub sims imho (yes there is a SHIII forum at Frugals but not as active as this).

Well done that man!

Running Grey Wolves and loving it so far.

I have already proposed to the entire GW dev team, and I agree that it is the mods that keeps the game alive.

I stopped playing SH3 a long time ago because of other games, etc, but came back when I saw some shots from GW.

I had SH3 so I could join my mates playing online....but that started to be boring for me. also the Career didnt gave me joy because it was boring.

I moved on for an year...and I bumped on this forum and red all about these mods...I downloaded them and it was what I missed in the Stock SH3
and now i,m 22th patrol later :D and still thing are getting exciting in my career i,m in late 41 (oct) and moving to 42.

SH3 has incredible lonjevity.
I agree, but only partly. SHI has had incredible longevity; there are people still playing an online SHI campaign ten years after it was released! They may move up to SHIV when it comes out.

One year is not a long time for SHIII yet. We'll see how many are still playing it in 2015. If I'm around I will be.

I have been here off and on. Now since GW came out I am back playing it.

As for donations, I am not able to.

I've been away for about a year, but have wandered back to my sub pen for another patrol.

I'm looking forward to trying out the GW mod...
