Installation code not accepted

Hope this is the place to post this:

I just purchased SHIII this afternoon, but already I have a problem. LOL

The installation key code is not accepted. I have tried about 10 times. Short of calling Ubisoft, any suggestions?

CAPS LOCK ??? Don't know if it is case sensitive, but then again you probably tried this as well...

A fresh PC restart might do the trick...

Yes, my caps lock is off. I heard SH3 has a lot of bugs, but I never expected one this soon.:-?

[HW3]

The install key is a combination of 25 letters and numbers in groups of 5. In my case it is located on a sticker inside the case, and is in the middle of the sticker. Do not use the bottom line, it is the sticker part number. If you do not have the group of 25 in the middle of the sticker, go to UBI Support Knowledgebase and look up Silent Hunter III. There is a key code there that will work.

Thanks:up: THat was it. Funny how they don't tell you not to use the last line.

BTW, I have a mircrosoft keyboard with the F keys labeled on the front side rather than the top. I have never been able to get them to work. Is there a key combination, for example for F4, is it F4 + something? Without the F keys I can't access those areas with the keyboard.

There is a panel on the left side of the SHIII screen that will allow you to reach all the f key sites in SHIII.
There is also a program called SetKeys that will allow you to reprogram all your SHIII keys to anything you like.
